So I'm outta state and at my buddys place and on the way back from the grocery store were we were picking up some food and stuff, I went to unlock my truck and thought, "Hmm, that's odd, normally it blinks and chirps when I unlock." That's when I realized it hadn't unlocked and my keyless entry was no longer worker.
Truck is 23 days old and has just barely 1000 miles on it.

Any reason why this could happen?
No indication of it going out.
I don't think it's the battery in the fob, as it's a new truck, but what do I know?

Don't really want to shell out 7 bucks for a battery that might not fix it, and where I'm outta town, I don't have the other fob to see if it works or not.
    Any suggestions?

Other than suck it up and use they keyhole.

mine does it occasionally...but seeing as i work so close to an air traffic control tower on base, i guess it should be expected...

were you near anything that could have given out interference?

Warranty should cover it. I'd just use the key until you can get to a dealer.

    A couple different parking lots.
Now I'm back to where its worked all along at my friends house and it still isn't working.

I tried taking the battery out and inspecting it and putting it back and still a no go.

Mine did this one day. It took like 7 clicks to unlock it. It also did it trying to lock it, I when around and slamed the doors closed a couple times and it worked (the doors looked fully closed the first time I closed them).

Do the electric locks work when pushing the door buttons?
    If not check a fuse.
Did you get the fob wet or anything?
Keep us posted as to what the remedy ends up being please.

Power locks still work from the switches indoors.
I haven't gotten the fob wet or anything, so I'm not sure why it would happen.

At the Auto Zone near me they have a machine that you point your remote at and click and it will tell you if it is working.

    Changed batteries, same thing happening.

Tested old battery and old battery works.

Looks like the dealership will get a visit.

I'd just change the battery in the fob. Just because it's new doens't mean it's still good. I believe it's a 2032 batter and you can pick those up for $2.00 around here.

Nope, Everything else works just fine.

I changed the battery, I have other things that run off 2032 that I just realized and I swapped batterys. Key Fob doesn't work still, but the other item works just fine.

ETA: Local dealership only does service M-F and I wouldn't have any way of getting to work by leaving my truck there.
Any suggestions for a quick fix?

fuse maybe but thats the last cheap thing i can think of. maybe you sat down on the remote and broke a part of it or something. otherwise if you bring it to the dealer it should 100% be under warranty

Your dealer doen't have loaners or at least a cheap rental? At my dealer when it's warranty they pick up the tab for the rental.

    No loaners.
Rental would be 30 bucks/day and with my work schedule it'd be a two day rental as I couldn't get it back in time before they closed.
