try crunchy peanut butter. i'm serious. i use peanut butter to get stuff off that you wouldn't think of. it's incredible how well it works for stuff like that. just get a glob of it on some folded up paper towels and rub it in to the sap over and over. it'll come off and won't hurt your paint one bit. i grew up watching my dad use it to get stickey stuff/sticker residue, paint, you name it, off of anything with peanut butter and i've done the same.

Just kind of funny thinking how this came to pass. You know there you are on the work bench with a gooey mess. No acetone, alcohol or wd 40. Just some leftover peanut butter and crackers and you figure “ fuck it”. Lmao
