I was going to get it for Moab next year. So the 1 year subscription now would work

FYI if you drive through tolls and pay them after the fact too many times, they get mad and start sending you letters and fines. Guy I worked with used to just do that when had to goto Chicago til it started costing him more..

So kicking around the idea of getting a Four Wheel Camper the swift shell model to be exact. The dry weight is going to be 1000lbs so figure about 1500lbs loaded down. Does any one have recs for suspension the shop I am looking at getting the camper from also quoted me this system. Any one have any ideas.

Honestly, the OME leaf springs are only okay. Deaver makes the expedition leaf series -- (stage 1, 2, 3) based on your anticipated carrying weight. It has a better design for the rear bolt eye.

Ok I will give them a look. I like the idea of just rolling it into the shop when I pick up the camper and have the suspension done. This was a middle of the road kit they quoted me. I would love to not have airbags but it sound like I am going to need them.

For sure, just figured I'd let you know. I think the OMEs are still making their leaf springs with the interference issue on the rear shackle -- the second leaf protrudes into the shackle and can cause damage.

You don't need suspension for towing 1500lbs

    For 1500lbs? o_O they're yanking yet chain

They've been shaving them for years. Mine haven't made contact, and it gets a workout.

This is a fact. Correct. :101010:

Four Wheel Campers are an in-bed camper. He won't be towing 1500 lbs - that's going to be payload in the bed. Heavy for our little trucks.

@Jensen518109 - check out this thread of Four Wheel Camper owners and you can see what they've done: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/four-wheel-campers-thread.300224/

All I can say is I have Deaver U402 Stage 2 and I bet that camper would sag it out. You're probably looking at Stage 3 leafs but read that thread to see what real people do and don't take my word for it.

Yeah from what I have been reading a stage 2 or 3 would do it but the camper will be in the truck all summer but not winter so I don't want the ride to be to stiff. I know I cant have a perfect world either.

Medium leaf pack + airbags is probably the ticket then. Other than the OME vs Deaver vs other brand discussion looks like that outfitter has you on the right track.

Yeah the know there stuff. Kind of figured they would be spendy since its out in denver but compared to other camper dealers they are the cheapest. Now its time to sell the Harley so I can make it happen.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I'm slowly acquiring a collection of Tacoma parts from fellow members in warm areas that just want to clean their garage out. So far I've got a full set of OEM alignment hardware, a brand new icon u-bolt kit, and a full set of OEM lug nuts :D

I’d do whatever @YF_Ryan did for his slide in.
