What is everyone running for replacement leaf springs? I don’t want to lift the truck just want some replacement springs that aren’t going to wear out quickly… I do load the truck up every now and then with camping gear and it does sag but I know my leafs are probably the original ones. They are bending in the opposite direction. Any info is helpful! 1998 Taco 4x4

General Spring sells stock replacements for a good price but I've seen a couple posts on here lately from people not happy with them. If you have a local shop that makes springs that would probably be the best way to go. I'm running custom Alcans which are great, but pricey. Probably cheaper for direct stock replacements though.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I can only say I have had great luck with General Springs great customer service.

It has to be at least 5 years since I had any dealing .

It seems quality control and labor issues every place these days .

One miss labeled load of steel could cause many problems before it is discovered.

I’ve heard the springs will start to sag and start bending in the opposite way very quickly, losing the arch. How are yours looking?

I have bought about 6 sets for my Toyota Fleet no issues .

I always bought the heavy duty option is that the difference.

My Trucks got used hard hauling no problems .

The sagging springs could be caused by miss labeled steel very easy .

you would never know till they are in service.

The market for "stock height" leaf springs is not great... General Springs get thrown around a lot here, and as other members have pointed out, a few folks recently haven't been super happy with their product.

Recently, I found myself in a situation where I needed to reset my rear leaf springs (a very reputable local shop performed some collision repair, and replaced my passenger side leaf pack with what they called a "stock pack". It was NOT a stock pack- long story etc... string box had the trust angle way out. I ordered the cheapest rear springs I could find to normalize the rear to the same brand springs.) Turns out the Rock Auto Husky brand and General Springs have identical part numbers. So using the TW RA discount code- that's probably the better deal. I ran those packs for a few months. They are OK. The spring rate on them seems to be higher than stock (they ride rough). I didn't experience the frown sag some have.

In a world of you get what you pay for, I ended up getting a set of Deavers once I was able to confirm that my springs and subsequently frame were ok. I was after 1.5" of lift, so the J59 pack was perfect and SOOOOOOO much better than my previous 1.5" AAL. While they may not publicly sell them, most spring companies can make you a "custom" stock height pack.
