Check to make sure it's a real cricket.

Count the chirps in 15 seconds then add 40. This will give you ambient temperature .

Check the cadence of the chirp, if it's in E minor the barometric pressure is dropping

The ambient temp of the cricket. He wouldn't be chirping if he was outside.

I meant that if I'm supposed to count the number of chirps and add 40 but the dead bugger isn't chirping, my total will be 40. :D

    I dunno?

We were predicted to have a massive emergence last sommer. I only heard them a couple times.

The last time I heard them, they were noisy as all get out and it lasted all summer.

They were super loud where I lived at the time. I actually kind of liked it, but I'm a weirdo. Not like you guys already didn't know that...

    Re poll:

Took an early thanksgiving to visit my folks up in Chicago. First time in probably 10 years. They usually bounce between all the kids every year but I’m working this year so figured I’d go up a little early. Made a rookie mistake. I realized that something has disappeared from my truck after 10 years of living in southern California and south Texas. An ice scrapper…. And winterized washer fluid…

 I already went through ten pages of that... Don't know if the OP is trolling or just neglected to mention the supercharger -- on the other hand the father sounds like a nitwit too.

My morbid side forces me to read it to the end, be it a resolution, OP ghosting or a :locked:

I bought some at The Mart last week - almost $4.

I try to stock up on the winter grade so I never get stuck using the summer stuff at all, I understand selling it in Florida but the northeast? - What am I supposed to do, siphon it out in the fall...

    I don't even bother, such dumb@$$ery.

Back in the 70's we all thought you "needed" to run 20W-50 for the best protection.
