Now that sounds like a fun time! Fire extinguisher is a new one but makes sense.
Hell ya! Can't wait for you to finally find a keeper!

On another note, plugging in the 7.3 made a big difference even though it was a balmy 20* last night. Glow plug light only stayed on a second and then it cranked like it had already been up to temp. Won't plug it in much but will be nice to use when I know I'll be starting it in the cold to not put so much strain on things. Hoping to straighten pipe the thing for my birthday here soon :anonymous:

Started some shit with the local Jeep club commenting on my friends Facebook post lol. He posted a photo on a trail with some fairly steep drop offs and rocky sections on our local public OHV area.

I said “nice. You did that section in a stock TJ when half the overbuilt rubicon rigs in the club here won’t even go near it” and he replied “yeah my skidplate took some hits but that’s what it’s for”.

Meanwhile in the comments below people were getting all bent out of shape. Sorry that my stock Tacoma with a flatbed and his TJ X with tiny axles are more capable than your $80K gladiator. Don’t know what to tell you.

My stepmother's brother has some special or limited edition Wrangler and is exactly like that, babies it like a collector car. Though he did take it on an easy trail out in the desert with us to visit a mine a few years back. Dude drove under 5mph the entire time lol.

Yay, hood is stuck shut. Lever in cab is just... limp.
I guess pliers and a pull on the wire?
Was just going to put new air filter in before a week long trip starting Saturday, of course.

take care of that white paint, our white '13 Rav4 is getting repainted on Toyota's dime next week due to a bunch of large pieces coming off

for some reason the Ravs are covered with a TSB for it but the Tacomas aren't

I've figured out why Jeeps are so afraid of big deep water crossings. They have the PCM under the hood. Yet they try to ridicule me for my big deep water crossing videos.

Pliers got it. The metal that lets the spring release return is corroded and catching. New latch time.
Splattered it with FF for now and seems to work.

Even then, they're pretty well-sealed between connector and harness.

Jeep people are just a weird bunch that would rather buy a ton of mods only to hang out and talk about them at their next meet.

Most of us do the same, but the difference is we do so outside of a parking lot (before running a trail, or during break halfway through it).

Since I've been casually looking into the Ranger, I believe I saw it has a stated 800mm / 31" wading depth from factory. Which is pretty great. (Snorkel installs on them are a bit more labored than the 100 or Taco)

I think all but the back, they used a magnet to check each panel and were able to pull off pieces on most of them. Car looks pretty ragged right now lol

    Stock again- rip slug

Sooooooooooo, ive got good and bad news. Good news is i got it in and running cod without lag, couple things turned down like particles but nothing major. Benchmark was 57 and 58 fps ave, with the cpu as bottleneck.

Bad news is i have a 4+1 board (ga 78lmt) and couldnt get a good oc as a result, didnt know boards mattered so much. Couldnt even get it to run 4300 without blue screening in game.

Now im considering buying a good board to run a good oc to push up the glass ceiling, but dont know if its worth it vs just buying a ryzen 3 and am4 to start new. I have a buddy who may have a ddr3 board we'll see
