Good morning everyone! It’s supposed to be a washout here today. I played plumber and delivery guy all day yesterday. I’m tempted to go to the mountains and scout streams today but I’m not sure what kind of rain they are calling for. If it’s a full blown gully washer there’s no point but I’ve been looking into the upper Nantahala delayed harvest section and I’m dying to see it in person. Or I could just ride to the nearest fly shop but that could turn out to be expensive the last time I stopped in I picked up a rod that has haunted me ever since. I actually had one in the cart last week and the wife talked me off the ledge or actually asked if I was crazy. And I quote “you don’t even keep fish”!!They just don’t understand

Did Queensryche do anything outside of "Operation Mind Crime"? I still have the CD and it comes up once in a while on the iPod, still sounds relevant.

 

Yes, take a look at a discology for their releases. I still like them and there are a few albums, yes, I said albums , that I still listen to. Always thought they were a fresh alternative to the rest of the Seattle sound and hair bands of their age.

Their next album - "Empire" was an even bigger hit than Mindcrime. I love them both, but to me, Mindcrime (the original) is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard.

They did a hard turn into really weird, uber progressive stuff in the 90's. They also eventually released Operation Mindcrime 2. A solid album, back to a more traditional style of rock from their 90's albums, but not on the same level as Mindcrime (original). They did one more album after Mindcrime 2 (maybe more??) that was actually pretty damn good, and then Geoff tate left the band. I haven't really kept close for 20+ years, I don't even know who their current vocalist is, or if they have released any albums post-Geoff tate.
