Looks like an old school mottled Bakelite A1 grip.

Decided to do an M40A5 clone with the funds from the MK12 and the MK18 clones I was working on.

 

What everybody running for light mounts? I was thinking about the arisaka 45 degree but I don’t think it’ll clear my mbus

 

What handguard are you using? Bobro makes one with a hinge so you can adjust it

I really like that aero throwback roll mark. Way cooler than their current one. Been thinking about scooping one up myself.

 

does that have mlok slots all the way around or only at the 3,6,9 oclock positions?

 

I use Arisaka inline scout mounts at a 45 degree, and am running Modlite 18650/18350 combos on mine, but they're on the furthest adjustment and it's still a close fit. Depending on MBUS/light head I'm sure there's combos that wouldn't work.
