just realized clock ratio was different than cpb ratio at the start, then I matched them both through my OC'ing. (4300 and 4300) should the clock ratio have stayed 4k while going up with cpb? doubt that was my issue and more so overheating or maxing vrm's.

based on ur benchmark #'s tho it doesnt seem worth it. Glad u guys have experience with this!

The Toyota Club here is a bunch of badasses that will take on about anything - especially when the water is up.

I like to use Furmark (if you know what you're doing) for some stress testing...but I say if you know what you're doing cause you could really push your shit and fuck things up.

3DMark does bench testing as well, and runs independent graphics and cpu testing.

I'm not all familiar with the components you're running but depending on how much you want to spend, I could make a few suggestions.

I went LGA1700 cause Intel's architecture is a little different on their lower end CPU's; single core performance is a much better bang-for-the-buck than Ryzen CPU's costing much more.

Right now, the 12100F is by far the best bang for the buck current CPU you can buy for gaming. Sure it doesn't have a lot of cores, and unless you're doing heavy editing and whatnot, it's great for gaming with the exclusion of E cores. You can get one for about $100 and if you stick with a DDR4 board, can spend easily less than $150 for a nice board (or $100 for a good one).

I went the budget route myself and got a 12400 and stuck with a DDR4 board (B660 chipset). DDR5 is getting cheaper but the average board starts at over $150, not to mention the higher cost of DDR5 itself.

For strictly gaming, a 12100 and DDR4 at 3,000mhz will run a lot of shit now at 1080p - 1440p.

Man, makes me really wish I kept my old PC cause I would've sold you some stuff cheap.

Had 32GB of DDR4, several SSD's, an M.2, and that 1080 TI. Don't even know if the other GPU is still alive since it's been in a storage bin for a year or more.

Man, the footage from the ground from the Texas WWII airshow last weekend of the B-17 and P-63 collision is absolutely brutal :(

Dealer filed a claim today with Subaru of America for my wonky windshield...consider me, pessimistic.

Is it wavy? Cause most glass from non luxury brands tends to be these days.

Yep. Like a funhouse mirror. I had no idea it was so common until recently. It sucks. I have forgiven a lot with this thing, but I can't hang with that.

It's entirely likely that even if you bought a brand new windshield yourself from a company like pilkington it would still be just as wavy it's a disturbingly common trend

Shit. Is it just modern quality or the shape of the glass on the newer windshields? I've heard trucks can be better because of more vertical/flatter glass, but I don't know if that's BS. It might be back to older stuff for me, I get a headache pretty quick. I wear glasses and its like looking through a wrong prescription at times.

My advice is to ask the dealer to let you sit in a couple that are on the lot and see if they're similar

Good call. It'd be annoying to have the claim go through and get a replacement that was just as bad or worse.

On a side note I wasn't able to go test out the Ranger because it sold, but now I'm wondering if those will be just as annoying.

None of my old vehicles have had that issue. What a bummer.
