I just finished a metal roof on my garage, took me 2 summers to complete

 

Any pics ? Was it hard ?

 

It wasn't too difficult, just time consuming with tearing the old one off first.

The Walking Dead depicts zombies as being able to survive in a variety of conditions, though saying "survive" is an oxymoron because zombies are basically reanimated corpses and no longer "alive" in the traditional sense. At the end of season one, the zombies in Walking Dead are shown to have brain activity when they come back, but they have no memory of who they were when they were alive.

The heads of zombies in Walking Dead are shown to stay alive even after complete decapitation, and the only way to truly "kill" them is put a hole through their brains (knives are the safest way to do this).

Zombies are even shown to survive underwater, whether it's their whole body or just their head. That brings me to the current question...

Will zombies survive in space? I'm going to go with yes, since they no longer breathe...

 

Never seen the walking dead. I’m not one for those type shows.
The more unrealistic it is, the less I’m interested.
Honestly, I watch very little TV. 95% of what I watch is on YouTube, and most of what I watch is educational type stuff.

I spent the last few weeks watching most of the BC Felling videos.
I’ve seen them before, but refreshments on safety is always a good thing.

It is definitely on the larger side. (Around 1500 Sq Ft.)

 

Maybe he’s like me.
Pessimistic, does a little at a time, and thinks quitting time is the best time to start.

 

I tend to put off jobs I don't want to do.

My kitchen drain had been slow for a few *cough* weeks (about 250 or so...), it finally pretty much stopped (about June) so in early November I excavated the yard (with a shovel) and fixed the problem
It took about 7 hours of grunting and wheezing, 137 trips between the hole and the kitchen, a 50 foot flat sewer snake and a 25 foot drum auger.

I was about crippled the next morning.

 

If you are like me, it took no less than 3 trips to the hardware store to get stuff you already have, but can’t find it.

 

It was just clogged after 30 + years, didn't need one part.

What I did need though was that drum auger.

I actually have 2, one at home and one down in town, I have 2 because I couldn't find the first one when I needed it - 6 months later I found it under the seat of the daily van.

Knowing it was up here I looked for an hour to finally find it right where I had put it "so I would know where the damn thing was"...

 

Waiting for a few days in a row with no rain was a factor too.

 

So what you are saying is, clean outs are a good thing.
I still remember helping my grandfather and using the old style sewer tape with a ball end.
Even better is finding the septic tank, it’s never where they tell you it is.

My grandfather was a plumber as his second job. I was the “helper”.
And you can guess what my job was?
I didn’t help him much, as he retired just about the time I started helping.
But I got a good summer worth of it. And that’s all I needed to know I didn’t want to be a plumber.

The digging wasn’t so bad, the black water was BAD.

 

That is just what I have, a flat tape with a ball end, a 50 footer. I had every last inch in the 4" pipe too. Nasty stuff came out...

I am really afraid of mask mandates and/or lockdowns coming back; I know have brought this up before, but it remains at the front of my mind.

Lockdowns don't particularly bother me, because in Pennsylvania they were pretty lax. There was an "essential travel only" order, but the police weren't pulling people over and asking them where they were going. There was one case of a woman from York getting a ticket from a state trooper for violating the stay at home order after admitting to taking "a Sunday drive".

My mom didn't want me going inside places, but if I had to go to the bathroom while on the road, Wawas were always a safe bet because they had public bathrooms and were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Anyway, I had one mask-related altercation that almost turned violent, and the other party brought it on himself. That would be the incident at the Mission BBQ in June 2020.

This is 90% about autism-related sensory issues and 10% "I don't feel like wearing a mask anymore".

 

I have had my fill of mandates also.

 

My friend Anna has severe sensory issues due to her autism, and she hated every minute of wearing that painting respirator for the zombie huntress photo shoot last month. The only reason she did so is because she wanted to make me happy...



Anna has almost had panic attacks from cloth masks (once again, I'm shocked she put on the respirator for as long as she did).

Anna has said that she will sequester in her house rather than go back to wearing masks if they bring back the mask mandates.

 

She did good!

 

Yeah, but we're both fed up; Anna has been on the verge of tears over these stupid mask mandates.

My friend Doug, who is Jewish, is boycotting the synagogue he's been going to since the 1990s (where he had his bar mitzvah as well) because of summer 2022 they are requiring everyone to mask regardless of vaccination status. He previously got into an altercation with an usher at his longtime synagogue back in 2021 when he tried to enter without a mask. His viewpoint is that he should not have to wear a mask because he is vaccinated, I 100% agree with him, and he is presently going to another synagogue that does not require masks.

We're all done with this shit.

 

If there is a real possibility of this happening, and it bothers as mush as you say.
Now would be a good time to figure out how you are going to deal with it.

Are you willing to stay at home and not leave your house?
Are you ok with the fact that not wearing a mask might cause you become ill?

While I personally don’t think anyone should have to wear a mask, I do think they should at least take precautions when going out into public. If you feel sick, stay home.

My grandparents are both in their mid 80’s and I’ve been having to help them.
Which means I’m around them a lot. I don’t want to be the one that gives them something that could potentially kill one of them. Therefore, I do wear a mask if needed. But it’s by choice.
