Wow, you don't miss much, do you?

I dumped a motorcycle once when I was 18 or so.
The hot exhaust pipe lay on my calf for a few seconds.
That was a pretty frantic few seconds until I got it off me

 

I find it a tad bit odd that he was checking out your legs that closely @Gritto .

 

The trap (trap machine) is in the trap house.
Like most sports, it has its shorthand or jargon.

Which reminds me...


There's one more trap competition, called "Doubles", which is somewhat less popular.
In that, the trap machine is centered, locked, and the tension cranked up to throw 2 birds at once.
At divergent angles.
Competitors stand on the 16 yard posts.

Whether you're shooting singles, handicap or doubles, it's customary for the squad leader on post one to call out, before starting:
"Let's see one"
Or in the case of doubles:
"Show us a pair"

The person in the scorer's chair obliges by pushing the controller button to send it.
This is to verify the trap is set correctly.

Well, we had this one gal on the team (and she was really good too).
One day she was in the scorer's chair (our range was run totally by volunteers and we all took turns in the house and scoring).

So I'm lead off and call:
"Show us a pair"
She replies:
"You'd like that wouldn't you? Here ya go."
Everyone looks back and she starts to lift her shirt.




She didn't show us, of course, and just threw us a kiss.
After the laughter subsided, we shot the round... badly.
I mean badly.
Good thing it was only practice night.

Well I meant when I try to tag you by the time I type in @Da B it suggests your whole nickname. When I type in Critters it's not suggested at all.
