Today while at school I changed the fluids for my manual transmission, transfer case, and rear diff! I was planning to do the front diff as well but it appears the drain plug is stuck so I'm not going to mess with it until I get a new drain plug. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it done!

    Christmas music aside.
I've been in retail for 25 years hearing the same Christmas music for 8-10 hours a day. This year is started the day after halloween.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Fast forward 15 years and we’ll be hearing Christmas music at Easter and buy Easter candy at Halloween.

I went to the wrong school for auto tech. We had 8 bays, 1 Hunter alignment machine and 2 lifts. It was a small NC community college in the 1970's. We did have a cool big block Chevy jet drive ski boat that we took out a few times.

Ok, one more question. When you installed yours (I know...2 years ago, but if you remember :) ) , did you really go with the recommended 12 Lb-Ft torque, or do you think it will take a little more? 12 just don't seem like enough.

idk i just tightened with a wrench, shouldn't take much to keep it tight though.

I installed a couple of Fumoto valves and I did not use a torque wrench. Just tightened them the same amount that I tighten regular drain plugs. They never leaked.

Hit a deer tonight, first time, I guess it was bound to happen at some point.
Front end was hissing, no leaks that I could see.
Plus side is I changed my deductible from $1500 to $150 not even two months ago.
Funny thing is, I was reading about some other dude who hit a deer on TW and was out $2000 in damages and was regretting not lowering his deductible, which in turn led me to lowering mine. Guess I owe this fella a thank you of sorts.
Any recommendations on steel bumpers, what looks good but more importantly, is functional?

I think you are looking at at least $8000 in repairs. I've hit two deer in my Tacomas (08 & 13) and they were both around $8000. $150 out of pocket of course
