My brother worked at Gander Mountain when he was in high school. One day they got a new shipment of bows in and he decided to test pull one of the bows with an arrow in it. His fingers slipped has he pulled back and slung the arrow clear across the store. His employment was terminated immediately. Lol

Saw the same thing with a crossbow at a bow shop. Guy was complaining about it not firing. Bow tech said it was because the safety was on. No hesitation dude just flipped the safety and sent it.

May be a cheap thing to just buy the whole cover. We'll need a picture of the model, serial #, etc.

There's another one somewhere, whatever brand the engine is, that's the one needed.

id pull that hub off before buying another one, sometimes the end just pops off the plastic, or just the end breaks and you can put a new hook in it with pliers. wear safety glasses and be careful obviously.

I don't think it was the tech who did it, the customer did

When i first got into bow hunting in MD, took it to a local shop. Dude sounded like he knew what he was talking about...i couldnt figure out why i couldnt hit anything.

Took it to a lady bow tech, who shot competition. She said my bow was all set up wrong which it was. She got it set up great.

Later i went in to that shop where that dude was and he had dry fired a bow with a release that you werent supposed to be able to dry fire a bow with...he had whip mark on his face where the string caught him. Lucky it didnt get him in the eye. Needless to say i never went back there.

It was a customer, not an employee of the shop, that dry fired the crossbow.

Definitely the worst part about having a bow is finding someone worth a shit to work on it. Seems like everyone's motto around me is "Anything worth doing is worth doing twice."

I have 2 coworkers with one. I would buy one in a heartbeat. Have had good reliability and are quite nice. Only downside: an SUV that nice and that price has a KIA badge on the hood.

I'd still buy one if I was in the market.
