I'm not being a smarty, I've still got some Federal hollow points I bought in the 1990's for $1.29 for 50. My son ask why haven't I shot them, I said cause that was a lot back then :rofl::rofl:I was making $90 a week while working during high school.

I have a "general" tag for any deer which I'm saving for the muzzleloader week. I could also buy an additional tag for any deer in my area (supposedly) based on deer population. The province is divided into wildlife management units (wmu's). My "general" tag is good for any deer in wmu 80 and a buck anywhere in the province. My additional tag is only good for any deer in wmu 86, my turf.

If we had public land, or I was really gung ho and wanted to try to get permission on private land, there are other wmu's that sell additional tags, so conceivably I could buy more tags and hunt those areas as well.

Does that make sense. Short answer, most people just buy one tag. I buy two. :D

We get 6 tags for deer, 2 antlered, 4 does. We can buy more doe tags for $5 each I think it is. With my wife and our two kids now shooting and with license, that's a lot of deer. Last year we only put 3 in the freezer, ran out of room so we quit pinching.

Luckily, I have lost some feeling in that thumb courtesy of an angle grinder / zip cut wheel. That's the diagonal scar just above the knuckle.

Ours are $50 a year for all of it, we've all got our lifetime though so it doesn't cost us anything now. Kids before a year old is $250, I think adults are $500 now.
