    few things here and there.
    Hey y'all.

So, around 500 miles ago (two weeks) I had my Eibach struts and rear shocks removed and replaced with 5100's.

I did this because they were leaking

Anyway, suddenly last night I noticed things were feeling... extra bumpy? I feel it like.. right under the driver and passenger seat. No steering wheel shake, maybe a HINT of vibration, but noting wild.

It was not like this at all the first 500 miles. I know I know.. "its a truck" but the almost.. shutter like shake is taxing on you after a while, and was again.. not like this earlier on.

I went to a shop today and the told me the tires looked good, alignment is good, and visually inspected other components. Everything "looked good". He didn't put his hands on anything, if that matters, just had the truck up on a lift. I'd have taken back to the shop that did the work, but they are almost two hours away.

So, what could it be? Surly the ride quality shouldn't get worse as they break in, right?

The only other thing to note.. Is that I also had them do the ECGS bushing when they had the truck in. The seal ripped, it leaked a bit, but they fixed that within a day or so. No more leaking issues with it at all, and the Dif oil was changed so it's full.

Idk.. I guess I am just growing exhausted with trying to solve this issue.

Any help would be valued, thanks.

Did you do a diff drop? Shims on the back axle? Maybe they loosened and that's why you're feeling a vibration and harshness.
That's the only thing I can think of

    So,

I’m on the second to bottom setting on the 5100

PSI is 36, dropped from 40 to see if it made any difference, it did not. Also, it ran buttery smooth at 40 until whatever is happening.. happened

    No dif drop.

It’s just.. the weirdest thing. Shop has it now, they’ll prob tell me they cannot duplicate the issue :p

however, something has happened. I know I’m not crazy lol

No way for us to know. You say things like “bumpy””hint of vibration” “shutter”.

For me those are all wildly different things.

Might help to narrow down your description

My wild guess is that one of your wheels is out of balance because you lost a wheel weight or you have some foreign material in the wheel. This is only based on the fact that you said it was fine and then suddenly it was not. It would help if you described the problem better. Your description is very ambiguous to me.

A little more info would be helpful. You said replaced Eibach w/ 5100s, what about front coils, AAL, leaf packs? All stock springs or aftermarket? Lifted or stock height? Stiff ride and feel every bump, or an actual shudder/vibration thats consistent with speed increase/decrease?

Yeap, check wheel weights. "Suddenly happened" you said, while you were driving it? Was there a big bang heard anywhere??

harsh ride is a common complain with 5100s. this is why it's a pain in the ass to switch to aftermarket suspension. it's just how the shocks are.

Also its possible they used the lifted coils on the 5100s? Any perch height with lifted coils will ride like poop.

    few things here and there.
Hey y’all, sorry for the ambiguity.

    So,

I am running Eibach Pro springs. Others have ran the exact setup with no issues, so I decided to run with it.

The only thing I changed was the shocks, struts. Everything is installed properly.

It’s strange, I feel like.. “consistently rough/shake” at any speed after 30MPH. It’s subtle, but enough to notice. I just imagine.. if it was going to ride rough, or like this at all, it would’ve done it right away, not 500 miles in.

It did appear to happen suddenly. Things just felt.. a tad off. No loud noises, bangs, pops, etc.

Took it to the shop. They called and said everything looks good. They say it’s “probably just my tires”. When I asked the condition, they say they look perfect.. so, if that were the case.. I should’ve felt it a lot sooner lol. If nothing has changed, that is.

I asked if a balance would help, they said no. Okay… alignment? Nope… okay..

I guess I’m just going to accept it. The shop that did it is interested in checking it out. So, maybe I’ll give that a go.

I mean is could be something as simple as the tires. Speeds after 30mph seems to be something drivetrain related whether its tires, driveshaft, etc. With everything moving faster its amplified but really hard to say.

If you didn't already have the diff bushing in, I would suggest that.

Maybe look at carrier bearing shims, but that is usually an issue when starting to accelerate from a stop.

    Y’all rock, BTW.

lately, I feel like all I’ve been posting are problems I’m having. I’m a dummy when it comes to this stuff, and a bunch of other stuff lol, but I figured y’all could help me.

so thanks a million for all the advice. I’m having them balance, and rotate, my tires anyway. Maybe that’ll help, maybe it won’t. I may look into the dif drop, and center cari bearing spacers as well. Those seem pretty DIY

Don't do the front diff drop. That will cause other issues and is not a problem on the streets as the ring, pinion, and shaft are not turning.
