If these have been on for days, that is a major selling point for whatever brand of battery is in there; I just took these out of storage!

    #merica in a nutshell :oldglory:

Charlie, I would not be worried about lockdowns and mask mandates coming back. America was over COVID in ~April 2020. Mandates and concern lasting as long as it did was a miracle.

I had my first mask-related confrontation in June 2020, LOL

That prick who got in my face at Mission BBQ for "not wearing my mask properly". He almost woke up looking at the ceiling with his front teeth missing.

Also, my psychiatrist prescribed me Xanax earlier this year because I was stressing out so much about having to wear a mask on the flight to California in July; I actually flat out refused to go because I was afraid I was going to get into a fight with a busybody Karen passenger or an overzealous flight attendant over improper mask wearing. My parents used the miles they'd accumulated to get first class seats to bribe me into going. These were relatives I had not seen since 2018 and I really wanted to see them, but I did not want to deal with the masks.

My parents bought first class seats and my shrink prescribed Xanax, and I even bought a bunch of fake "unmasks". In April the mask mandate on public transportation was lifted by order of a federal judge. I ended up not needing the Xanax and flew to California and back maskless; I did not wear a mask once while I was in California, and all of my relatives know I have Aspergers and 100% sympathize with my sensory issues, so they didn't bug me for not wearing a mask.

I get it, but I still don’t agree with your strong aversion to wearing a mask.

Going to the grocery store, fine, some might roll their eyes at you and keep their distance.

But if you are choosing to enter a doctors office or plane when masks are mandated, just wear the damn mask. Whether you agree with it or not.

Well, they stopped mandating them on planes three months before I flew. Also, my dentist doesn't require masks anymore and my doctor just stopped the requirement last month. My therapist still requires them in the waiting room.

My aversion to wearing masks is the sensory issues. Most masks fog up my glasses, and I feel like I can't breath in them. On top of that, when I get hot I sweat. All of these things combine to raise both my stress level and my blood pressure, which in turn causes my temper to flare. I just cannot wear medical-style masks for more than a few minutes at a time.

I have worn painting respirators numerous times before, including when posing with the zombie truck. These masks don't bother me much, and I feel like I have an easier time breathing in them.

I wear a respirator at work sometimes, especially when I am cleaning out the filters in the painting booth. The dust produced by that job is harmful, and I feel like I have a lot more to lose if that shit gets sucked into my lungs than if I catch COVID.

Plus let's face it, I really don't like people telling me what to do and how to live my life, pandemic or no pandemic.

    Mostly though, it's sensory issues.

Walked into the doctors office last week wearing a mask and noticed a new sign that said "Masks Optional", removed my mask immediately.

That isn't a bad price. With the metal, it sometimes comes to how many cuts/corners it has. Not a huge jump but it's easier to cut asphalt shingles with less waste than a sheet of metal of course. My garage and breezeway are attached but those were shingled 5 years ago and do not get the ice damming issues that I mentioned on the rear of the main house does. Your neighbor having the skylights replaced was probably at least a grand of that job just to guess. My bathroom had one when we moved here and I said "first time that bitch leaks it's gone" which I did a few years ago.

IF I understand correctly (and I may well not), the 3 tabbers versus the architectural style is purely asthetic but don't trust me on that statement. I think you could still get 3-tabbers at that time and some time after, not sure about presently. That was around the time the other style came out so the discount theory holds water if so.

If I know I'm getting on someone's nerves that is pissing me off, I just keep pushing and then just laugh at them or make a smartass comment as well. Or both. If an idiot gets a reaction they will keep being an idiot. If I don't give them the reaction it just makes them madder and I get to watch them lose their shit.

Just got in from seeing W.A.S.P. and Armored Saint, so I'm a little hyper
