It's $100 cheaper than the SaBellCo lock previously mentioned. I'm surprised Law Enforcement can't do anything about that girl selling obviously stolen tailgates.

I just ordered RCI's transmission, catalytic protection, and transfer case skids from Truck Brigade. Truck Brigade was cheaper than direct from RCI even with the sale they have running this month. Someone just had their Cat stolen only a few houses down from mine. Been putting it off but that is way too close to home.

 

its a sign, buy it, about 7 years ago my civic got stolen but before mine got stolen my neighbors son got his civic stolen

 

That's been going on for at least a couple of years... her name used to be Esmeralda.. The original pictures in the old add showed a whole lineup of tailgates, all colors. The only thing that's changed is the price has gone up in the new listings... inflation, I guess..

Apple air tag if your an iphone user is pretty amazing I keep one in the truck incase it ever gets stolen, might have to move its location to somewhere on the tailgate after seeing this post

 

I'm not an iPhone user, but I thought I had read before that those airtags announce their presence to any iPhone within their range? Wouldn't that let the thief know that the airtag is there?

 

I have seen news stories on people with iPhones finding out they were being stalked because of someone planting an air tag on them. I have one for my keys. My wife has one for everything. Your phone will let you know if you are traveling with a foreign air tag. Effin creepy ass things..

 

yes but it takes anywhere between 8-24hours according to apple until your notified that an unknown airtag has been in your presence for too long

 

If you are that serious about actually putting one in the tailgate, get it somewhere nice and deep inside the tailgate so by the time someone realizes they’re being stalked by a…tailgate (if they have an iphone), you’ll know exactly where they are. They may just ditch the tailgate and drive off.

 

Install a pop & lock, then you don't even have to turn your key anymore. Just press a button

 

Would it not be sweet if you caught one of these jug fuckers red handed with the tailgate in hand? You would have a free and clear shot to stuff your shoe straight into there nads and there would be a damn thing they could do about it. Yah they would drop the tail gate and bang it up but you might get the bonus of a broken foot from them dropping it on them selves. If you really want to be creative you can follow up with a blast of pepper spray. Nobody dies, thief does not get to reproduce and you get your tailgate and satisfaction. It's fun to dream Oh and make sure they are clear when you back up. Just drag them over that broken bottle to the side of the truck and give em one last kick in the grapes.

Nothing odd about this.

 

lol better yet they blew their back out then dropped it on their foot and the tail gate bounced up and smashed their eggs then fell on the broken bottle..All while being swarmed by a pack of vicious chihuahuas who have not eaten for two days. I am totally against violence as you can see. Also I am never sure of the proper way to use their, they're and there... sorry not perfect folks. That's what I get for getting a bachelors of arts.

Very sorry to hear this happen to you. I hope you are able to make everything as it was before this incident.

I purchased the OEM Tailgate lock and SaBellCo lock...$140 for the Tailgate Lock & $110 for the SaBellCo.

Pricey purchases but only a preventative measure to keep thiefs at bay.

Keep us posted on your successful rebuild.
