People act like driving in NE winters is the zombie apocalypse. They keep the car washes open year round over here. Also: some of us don't have the luxury or space for a separate summer AND winter DD.

Pay attention to how many 2nd gens you see in your area vs. 3rd gens. In my area it's about one 2nd gen for every three 3rd gens. That's because the newest 2nd gen is pushing 8 years old. And Tacomas are supposed to be among the most durable models. On average, Americans keep their cars for 8.4 years, so by 2047 I'd expect most gas stations to either close or change to charging stations.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Yea.. I put all my trucks away for winter. Avalon gets me through just fine. If it’s bad enough, the tundra comes out then gets cleaned and put away… I’m so done with rust.

Avalons got minimal rust after 6 years of this. Body still looks mint. Besides. Trucks get going easier in the snow. But stopping an another story. We don’t usually get deep snow out near Chicago anyway

You are right, and I will drive it around on days the roads are clear. I have a good battery tender on it along with 2 electronic rodent deterrents and glue traps by the tires.
Not my first rodeo trying to keep at least one vehicle nice.

You may have already mentioned it, I only read the first couple of pages, how do you keep the rodents from nesting and chewing on the wires....?

Wish I could afford to hibernate the truck all winter, but alas I gotta drive in the crappy weather!

But, alas, I got a pretty thick coat of Cosmo on there to slow down the rust. My rear end is still shiny after a couple years :D
