thanks man I’ve shot lots of hogs black tail an some mule deer but this is my first white tail

6.5 hours on stand today - no deer ,20 turkey
neighboring land owners pretty much clear cutting the other side of the hill a few hundred yards from my archery area . Subdivided to sell property for new homes

It's been Dink City, USA for me. Gun season in Illinois starts tomorrow, which means I'll be home all weekend picking my nose.

I walked to the property line up there today after getting out of my stand . Pretty sure the ass hole is feeding the deer heavily also. This deer hut is looking down over said cleared land with a trail camera pointed in my direction.

I'll take a stab and say neighbors stand is within 25 yards of the property line. That's what they do to us. Neighbor put his ladder not father than 15 yards from the line right on a trail that leads to my ladder. Screwed up my archery season. One morning walking to my ladder before daybreak I saw a dim light across the line. It was him in his ladder looking at his phone. Dumbass.

 

Ive been swamped busy. havnt been to the lease but once with wifes shoulder surgery and my cuts.killed an 8pt at the house today. i believe every deer is a trophy to be proud of. never would shoot this on the lease. let many go every year this size but here,just as good of a hunt as i could want. was busting on a doe for 5 minutes before he finally took a dirt nap. The little woman was pissed at me. i drug him and loaded him with 14 stitches in my side i got Monday

 

Oh he knew, but he didnt care. All the trees in that area are about the size of a pencil so I stand out pretty well in my climber. Oddly enough, I hunted that tree once last year and once this year, I've seen 11 bucks from it and zero does. Most of those bucks have either seen or smelled me but none of them have freaked, every one of them are coming by to scent check a small, doe bedding area. The white dot is where my tree is.

So you could be in a good travel corridor. I guess it depends on what’s on the other ends like food sources or bedding areas. It may end up a nice funnel
