    Presuming all trucks tested were 4dr shortbed models, 4dr long beds probably have the same ratings. Extended cabs usually don't fare as well in crash tests.

    Impact ratings are something I'm not concerned about when it comes to trucks. If the truck I'm driving has good ratings that's not a bad thing, but if the ratings are low I'm not concerned.

    You can't control what other people do on the road. Defensive driving will do more for your saftey than a high impact rating score.

    Keep in mind this is a “newer, tougher” test and the Toyota is probably the oldest design in the test. It doesn’t mean the Toyota is “unsafe”.

    Agreed, plus it says the tests are new and more challenging.
