    @Wulf

    One cheese I've yet to find locally that I really want to try is Humboldt Fog Cheese

    Cheese_30_bg_051906.jpg

    It was one of the 4 cheeses I did my report on.

    Been on the bucket list for years. My ideal vehicle for that would be like a mid 90s ford thunderbird. Big, comfy, powerful...and probably beat up enough to qualify.

    I was trying to think of something that I could actually get for that price these days. It would be such a fun thing to enter.

    Can you even get a running car for $500 anymore?

    I remember reading somewhere that the Ford Panther platform (Crown Vic and friends) was the money move. Cheap, plentiful, easy to work on and source parts for, and good-enough power and handling. I don't know Fords, but I assume the '90s T-Bird is a close cousin?

    Paul/Fab Rats ran a Crown Vic for Lemons a few months ago. They had fun.

    Nah, honestly the $500 beater first car is gone, it's like $2k min for something that runs/drives and doesn't need immediate substantial repairs lol

    Oh that does seem like a solid platform.

    On the ooother hand, doing something stupid and funky would also be fun.

    Chris Fix started a LeMons build. He used a BMW E46. He actually paid $1100, but said there are ways to deal with that.. sell some parts off to recoup money, and then take lap penalties for the remaining difference.

    They really should adjust for inflation. I think $2K is fair

    I'm sure we could build a few race-ready Tacomas with the LT parts collection.

    Just need to get those Cali frames to @Empty_Lord ...
