Ok, I'll have to check tmrw, but... After looking for the correct parts again. They don't even sell the seat bushing by itself looks like it comes with the housing.

Well, is the bushing alright after taking it apart?

Resealing it with RTV may be all that you need to fix your problems. FWIW the tcase and manual trans can both be filled through the shifter to save time messing around with the fill

I got the Marlin Crawler seats/bushings and there isn’t really a comparison as to the tightness of shifts now. It was good new, then sloppy as they deteriorated, and now super tight again.

Since I put gear oil on the seat bushing that goes in the transmission shifter retainer obviously I can't return it. I've been trying to change it out that spring is tough to push down and turn so the whole enters pop out. The kind service foreman at my dealership is going to pop it out put it in free of charge.

All of you are appreciated and thank you.
Hopefully all goes well from here on out and I can actually get to the fluid change.

File a few notches in both the hole and the piece so that they line up against each other. Smear some JB Weld on them and stick them together. May wanna tie some rope tight around the trans with a chunk of 2x4 to hold it out. Come back in the morning to evaluate.

As a connoisseur of JB weld...it comes apart easily with twisting force. Whenever she goes to tighten or loosen that plug it will likely break off again. I wonder if it can be welded back on. I saw this happen with someone and their tcase on here awhile ago and they ended up swapping their case.

Thanks guys. The cast can definitely be welded, although being welder, I'm not proficient enough with tig, to tig weld it. Imma have someone come out and weld it out for me.

I didn’t realize it was the plug hole housing. Definitely leave the inner portions of the break in tact if possible and try to file some bevel around the edges towards the outside to give more surface area for the weld to hold on. If the casting looks layered try to flake off anything that could potentially flake off during or after the welding so that it doesn’t end up floating around internally.

Well I finally decided just to throw some JB weld on it luckily I was able to get the threading to realign to get the plug back in there without any issue. So far so good obviously going to be very mindful of over torquing and end up with the same issue
