Nice! I’m having trouble getting the front bolts on to the bottom of my winch. Seems like my hands are too fat. Ran out of time tonight and will be out to town this coming weekend, so the next following week, I’ll fight with it again. I’m installing a badlands 12k syn winch. Heres whats done so far:622B2977-4349-4D2D-8971-5D09C9D867C4.jpg

Badland winch requires some slight modification to fit without relocating. Nothing too difficult.

Did you discard of the BSM sensor modules or did you find a place to relocate them? I'm getting the swing outs but want to keep my sensors if possible.

I like them. They complete the whole bumper look if that makes sense. Also, I want to move up to a bigger tire size (295/70 or even 285/75), which shouldn’t be a problem since the CMC was done.:fingerscrossed:

I don't have BSM so it was not sure if you can keep them or not, it did allow me a place to put my air bag valves.

    More data points:
Install relatively painless but be sure to pre-install certain hardware with bumper off if you are going to also install swingouts.
Recommedation: have the swing out instructions out with the bumper instructions and match them up.

One swing out kit did not have the locking assembly. I called 4WP and they sent out an entire swingout kit in 3 days. Simply over the top customer service.
I am returning the rest of the unused kit because hopefully 4WP can part it out to folks who need stuff.

Jesus, the light install inside of the rear bumper. The neighbors undoubtedly heard me weave a tapestry of obscenities...

Wiring it all up is a PITA. The BSM obviously had to be removed, and with the rear tire installed on the carrier, the back-up sensors lose their sh*t.

At the factory, somebody got excited with the threadlocker and dripped some into the threads of the locking assembly, so have your specialty tools and a bench vise ready to correct that.

Greasing up the pins uses flush mount grease adapters, my grease gun did not have the attachment, so I threw on standard grease fittings and lubed it up, then reinstalled the flush fittings as they will shear if you try to leave on the standard ones. Ask me how I know.

All materials are very solid, have a solid protective coating, effing grease everywhere, and the install took me two days and I have made only minor adjustments since the install.

Which brand of lights did you go with for that rear bumper?

I'm thinking of getting this one this week.

Another PSA, if you’re having center rear parking sensor problems, check the sensor orientation. It can be installed at a clocked angle and will throw off the sensor field. I think at the clocked angle it’s picking up the d-rings. Maybe the field is more vertical than lateral in the correct orientation.

How did this go? Were you successful in moving your BSM sensor modules to the fiberglass camper/canopy? What connectors did you use to extend them?

Anyone try moving them behind the taillights?

    Cheers!

Can the wings be added after the fact without removing the front bumper? I have the front bumper installed for a few months and I'm thinking of adding the wings. When I look at the instructions for the wings online it says to remove the installed 4wp front bumper....if I have to do that I'm not interested.

By front bumper, do you mean the 4Wheelparts bumper? I think you should. It will make installing the wings a million times easier since you need to reach inside the main part bumper to install the nuts and torque etc. Also if you are installing any lights on the wings it is easier to do with the entire assembly off the truck.

Ya I meant with the 4wp bumper already installed. I didnt want the wings at first but now I'd like to add them. Was hoping I could add the wings without removing the 4wp bumper.

Did you end up with a definitive answer on the orientation of the sensors? Vertical vs clocked angle? Does the vertical orientation work for you? I haven't re-installed my sensors yet.
