But you filter out your engine oil like every 1k miles. :)

E load will require more PSI to support same weight as SL load. With 285/75/16s, door jump psi number is useless. I would do at least 35-37. 55 psi is way too much and will cause your tire to wear out in the middle. Also, not great for suspension because of the rougher ride.

Hmmmm, you are right. I always look for ways to simplify things and I have that whole oil regimen down to a science so I consider that easy peasy. I tend to replace tires with life left on them as I do many other things

I've been running mine at 33 psi but the weather changed (below 30 degrees) and then the pressure was about 31 and throwing the yellow warning light. Now I run them at 34 when its cold and after they warm up they settle in around 37.

The number on the door jamb is a good place to start even if you upgrade to E rated tires. The number on the tire is for carrying max loads. Regardless of E or SL tires I keep mine somewhere in between. The number on the door jamb gives best ride but may not be best for loads or fuel mileage. I find somewhere around 35-38 PSI to be about right with either type of tire.

Most standard tires show around 44-45 PSI for max loads, but with the small GVWR of a Tacoma you'll never need 44 PSI. You can't put that much weight in a Tacoma. Remember, those same tires are stock on 1/2 ton trucks and they might benefit from 44 PSI.

The 80 PSI you see on LT tires is for max load capacity on a 3/4 or 1 ton truck that weighs around 7000 lbs empty. Way more than a Tacoma will weigh if payload is maxed out. You'd only air up a 1 ton truck to 80 PSI if you had over 3000 lbs in the bed. Guys driving empty 7000 lb trucks only run 50-55 PSI in their E rated tires.

Made you a pressure/ axleload list giving 90% of the calculated axleload for the pressure.
Determined this to give max reserve, with still acceptable comfort and gripp.

So you " ONLY" have to determine the axleloads acurate and read them back in the list. Succes with that, the most tricky part in it all.

    Cold psi/ 90% of axleload for 99mph.

I would run 35 as a daily driver, unless it has a heavy payload or towing then increase.

I have 265/75/16 Kumho AT52s that are P rated, and I’m running 32 psi. I reset tire pressure electronics using 32. Feels good on road, will monitor wear as I rotate. I had 285/75/16 KO2 E rated tires and ran those about 50K miles using 36 psi as my norm. Wear seemed even.

I believe your OEM tire info is off.
    It's a euro-metric 265/70/16/112 @ 30 psi; not, a P-metric P265/70/16/111 @ 29 psi

If that's 55 cold I'd hate to see what it is after a run on the interstate in the summer.
