Thanks I'll have to make sure to add it on to my next order. Too expensive to get on its own with shipping, good to know though

I don't think its worth $1399. If I'm spending that much I'll rather buy a Prodigy, Legion P229, metal M&P or a CZ. That's a parts gun that someone from Sig put together when they're on downtime. This is my version before Sig release that.

I own a Ruger #1 (single shot) in that caliber. Recoil isn't as bad as most think.

I’ve been wanting one of those for a long time but they priced themselves out of my market for now. They shoot real nice. To prepare for ownership I suggest that you sit on the front fender of you friends truck and grab a street sign while going 35…hahaha just kidding! According to Chuck Hawks:
Rifle weight/ Velocity ft lbs/ Energy ft sec
    .45-70 (300 at 1800) 7.0 23.9 14.8
    .45-70 (350 at 1900) 7.0 37.9 18.7
    .45-70 (405 at 1330) 7.5 18.7 12.7

    "FDE" ¿?

$1399.00 for "two tone mocha" is steep.

May I ask what a "Form 1" is? I'm in California where everything is illegal! I had a GSG 16 22lr. The HK looks cool(er)

Depends. If you shoot factory loads, it's a lot of fun. If you reload to the max amount, it gets old real quick. When I lived on Kodiak, a guide gun was my hiking, fishing, dog walking gun that I occasionally used for deer hunting as well. It was loaded hot. Moved to Arkansas and really enjoyed shooting my other Marlins in 30-30, 35rem, and 32-20. Kept the guide gun for awhile, but the fun was gone. It's just not a great design for real recoil, and I shoot some pretty big stuff all the time.

Anyway, keep the loads to moderate levels and it's a ton of fun.

No. 1s are fairly pleasant to shoot, even in the big cartridges like 458 Lott, 416 Rigby, etc. The No 3 however was a different story. Curved metal butt plate and a pound lighter than the No.1. Hot 45-70 loads in the No. 3 were no joke.

Right, but regardless, for $1300 I'd think they could still try and keep the number of different shades of brown on the same gun to a minimum. FN still has them beat.

they look sick. I’ve been eying one up for awhile in 357 and gonna go try to panic buy one tomorrow. Suppress it with 38 special and it is Hollywood quiet.

Oregon passed some dumb new laws by a narrow margin and it takes effect in 3 weeks so gotta get it while I can!

At 75 yo, there has never been a time in my life, more than NOW, when Citizens should/must conceal carry 24/7. There is a shooting or stabbing in our Central Virginia area almost "daily":mad::mad:

My oldest son lives 7-min away in a Large Subdivision. with nice upscale homes!

Long story short (last night): A black male (they could see his hands in Ring Security footage) dressed in a black hoody and wearing a Halloween mask tried to break into 5-homes. At one point there were 10 LEO cars on scene, walking around with flashlights, but never caught the Perp. This was at appx 6pm, barely dark, and folks were home in the houses he tried to get into, BRAZEN to say the least!!

Lock all home doors and vehicles, and put up a Solar Ring Sign, on sale for $25, in an attempt to ward off these Criminals!!

God Bless and ....... Be Safe! Carry 24/7

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I appreciate y’all’s response to the guns I posted up. I am going to save up for an nice lever action.
I will post it up when I find it. If anyones see or is selling something of interest let me know.
