    You think he’s playing chess? He has NO CLUE how large IT organizations work, how programs are managed, how infrastructure works, or how the interconnected systems work together. ZERO. He’s broken everything he’s touched. If you have personal information anywhere in Twitter it’s too late to remove it. They are almost certainly breached by now and all sensitive data exfiltrated.

    All I really care about is “do I have enough marshmallows to roast when it finally catches fire.”

    Do you not read the news? They broke 2-factor authentication when he turned off a bunch of services and dumped the code related to it. As soon as certificate services fail (and they will as soon as the revocation list expires because it’s not being managed) it will kick people out, not allow others back in, and could possibly expose users’ authentication credentials.

    Then there’re the engineering and infrastructure teams that left. That many servers takes care and feeding; audit logs fill up, SSDs and NICs fail, VMs need spun up and down based on need, RAM and processors need to be assigned - these are not things that happen automatically and the robots aren’t good enough.

    Twitter is a rickety bridge over a yawning chasm and Elon is on the other side chopping at the ropes with a machete.

    Don’t be on the on the bridge when it goes.

    I’m going to go with probably 95% of the country and say “meh”. Literally no impact in my life so I refuse to care. I had an account maybe tens ago and after it was hacked twice I deleted it.

    Although it’s fun to watch. Either Musk is as brilliant as he makes himself out to be and he succeeds or he fails miserably and loses a wealth I can’t fathom to comprehend. :anonymous:
