I took a trip down to Texas to visit my friend and his family over the Veteran's day weekend. I stopped off at Land Between the Lakes on night one. Absolutely beautiful, 80 degrees and clear. I found a perfect spot nestled down in the cut on a peninsula. Could've used a little bit of lift but I made it in and out. Absolutely nobody was around once the single fishing boat left. Had lots of fun exploring the fire roads.

Night two was at Sabine National Forest in TX. Unfortunately, Google decided to reroute me to the middle of the lake (the shortest distance to this point was the middle of nowhere in LA) and I didn't notice until I was almost there. That added another hour and put me where I wanted to be after dark. I went with the first thing I could find, which was a campground with an RV running a generator all night. It was a nice enough site but the only pictures I took were of the sunrise over the bay and some more fire road fun.

I only stopped for one night on the way back, and I hit LBtL again. It was an 11hr driving day so I got there pretty late and ended up in a fairly packed campground. I was not a fan of this site, as all of the slots were pretty close together and there was no real privacy. I had to traverse some pretty sketchy bits going downhill in the dark, which was fun. But ultimately it was late, I was tired and it was cold so I just laid the passenger seat down and slept and left around dawn so no pictures of that spot.

That's it. But we are still waiting to ski. It opens in 30 minutes

Edit: We obviously got first tracks that day. Here are too extremely excited boys. First in line at the Gondola.

How do you like the ROAM tent? I've been looking at it but deciding if it is worth the price.

I have the same tent but in black. Not used it a whole lot, but we like it. For cold winter camping I definitely suggest buying the insulation for it.

The mattress is pretty comfy, slept good so no complaints. Definitely more comfortable than sleeping on the ground. Hardest part is always putting back together. Making sure everything is in there and in the right spot so you can zip it up securely.

If you're thinking about getting one and plan to use it, it's worth it. A fun way to camp for sure.

I do like it. 3 inch mattress is very good. I bought it a couple of years ago during Black Friday sale. Saved me a few hundred dollars. I cold weather camp in mine. I would suggest a diesel heater instead of the liner. The heater will keep the condensation to a minimum.
