Yep pretty damn similar

 

The shoulder blocks definitely have similarities. But, the center treads are way different.

I was looking at both, but went with the Yokohamas because they were lighter, cheaper, and I've had good luck with Yokohama in the past.

 

The Yoko’s are great in the snow, but they do leave a little to be desired in wet conditions when coming from a stop. I’ll drop it in 4hi if I need a hole shot from a red light.

315/75/16. Just got them on yesterday. Trimmed the front fenders today. Hopefully I will get the rear fenders done tomorrow morning so I can hit a few trails to break them in.

 

Thinking about sipping the center section for winter. The wide 37s get a little wild around town lol

 

Definitely a good idea if you're going to run MT's in winter. They're generally good in fresh, deep snow, but usually hot garbage on packed snow and ice. I switch to 3PMSF AT's for winter.

 

So far I’m super happy with these in a 265/75/16 ! I haven’t had them long enough to speak on many conditions, but I was pleasantly surprised by their road noise. My wife didn’t even notice the noise. I can definitely hear them but it’s not bad at all.

 

Looks awesome. How much lift do you have up front with the 6112s?

Yup they look exactly like that in the snow. I finally was able to test them in the snow yesterday! Some of the spots were over a foot but mostly it was packed snow with plenty of icy spots! We started in Washington, Ca to Bowman lake and then out to Hwy 20. A mix of gravel fire road to packed snow and some rocks. These tires handled it all which gave me a lot of confidence! Aired down to 20 psi and tried to smooth out the ride a little. Next step is to drive it in rain for the final evaluation but so far the only down side is MPGs.





Review update 12-04-22
Finally got some good rain in Nor cal. Around town on surface streets they are definitely not as good as the Wildpeak AT3W and they did break traction from a stoplight, so you got to just use the big toe for accelerating. After the second time I made sure to feather it every time, a little disappointing. We also got a good dumping of snow in the mountains so I decided to drive up to Soda Springs.

There was a portion of highway 80 that was plowed and had packed snow and these things were slip sliding at 25-30 mph, pretty sketchy! I had other trucks, Subarus and a minivan pass me as they were firmly planted. For about 3 miles I was basically going 20 mph and traveling at an angle to compensate for the back end sliding. I should note I didn’t airdown. I recalled driving the same stretch last month during a flurry and I felt more planted and confident. I ventured on to Donner Pass road which was unplowed and at over a foot of powder. This is where the tires excel. They just dig in and clear out the lugs.

Overall I am very satisfied with these tires based on my original goals of fire roads, moderate rated trails, confidence in mud, durability. The tires actually balanced out unlike the wildpeaks! My truck is not a daily driver so I’m ok with the MPGS.
