Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
My legs are much to ugly and full of scars with very interesting patterns where the fur has rubbed off .

The only time I ever was forced to wear shorts was for the coed swimming classes in High School. Though everyone was convinced I was half Sasquatch after that . Mom wondered why the other Mothers looked at her so funny.

I do not even wear them at home. They would have never mixed with the welding and Cutting.

Ford C-Series truck, one of my all time favorites!
These were built with the body essentially unchanged from 1957 all the way to 1990.

They were the true anonymous "Everyman" of the medium duty world serving in every capacity from stake, tank, van, dump or specialty bodies, fire trucks and all the way up to over the road tractors.
A hard working C-Series might have delivered your heating oil or picked up the trash yet it never was noticed.

Power was provided by Ford in line 6 & V8 engines the biggest being the 534 cubic inch "Super Duty" that had an tremendous appetite for gas, several diesels from various manufactures were also used.

Barely visible in the photo below, this short chassis truck has 4 headlights, only used between 58-60. The 4 headlight setup was used on fire trucks much later, still only 2 actual headlights, red lights were mounted in the other 2 holes.

    CSeries1959-Tilt-Foreward-Brochure-cut.jpg

In the back of your mind you will remember Roadway Express used them for years with the distinctive color scheme. See that reflector/light on the driver door under the "R"? It first appeared on Ford pickups in 1968 and was used on the C-Series until 1990.

    1968, there it is.

    68Fordswb4wd_130k_head-800x600.jpg

Although the C-Series was used (and mostly ignored) over a wide variety of uses the most unusual may be the use of the C-Series cab in highway tractor service as the H-Series (1961-65) or as it was often referred to "the two story Falcon", the Falcon being the lightest, cheapest, most basic Ford car of the day.

    image.jpg

If you look closely at the yellow truck you can see where the wheel well is blanked out, many of these had a toolbox/storage cabinet located there with a curved top opening. Notice the tiny add on sleeper too.

    Ford-truck-H-series.jpg

Driverized cab or not those truckers must have been tough to make hundreds of miles a day in these trucks.

You can see the cargo door clearly in the photo below.

    ... could be

Well, today was coyotes 3 hunters 0. What do they say? "a bad day hunting is better than a good day of anything else"

I was blocking on one run, and got to watch a huge 10 or 12 point buck chase a really decent 8 point away from a doe, not once, but twice. Also flushed about 40 turkeys out of a little pothole in a field, saw some other deer out and about, and saw a three coyotes that eluded us in the end. All in all it was a glorious day to get some frigid fresh air.

After machining about 50 sets of knife handles the last two week from Carbon fiber, G10, and other composites I decided to clean and detail my Mill. CED331FD-9EFD-40B0-B0B9-49C55EE8C30B.jpg

Now I get to eat steel and aluminum for the next few days.

Did a little revision on one of my knife models.

    thanks.

the different colors help me know the rough travel limits as well as common spots where I place my vice for certain jobs.

    Good morning everyone.

I know it's nothing like what the folks in western NY are dealing with but we're having the finest flaked snow I've ever seen. It's not even coming up in the app or radar....
