Took the truck to the mountains for a day of hunting black bear yesterday and returned home late last night. No bear seen, just some small doe. I never get a good picture of the truck in the mountains as I am in the woods during the daylight hours. I had a great time though. Wish I could drive the truck on the road in the picture, but it is only accessible from private property owned by a sportsman club and I refuse to pay $500/year when I can access the area by foot.

I wanted to post this ADVISORY for anyone that has purchased a 3rd gen license plate bracket from me between 2018 and 2022. One of my customers had an issue, after 4 years of use, where he could not remove the license plate screws. He had to drill out the screws. His was used for 4 Wisconsin salty road winters which may have caused the issue. I would advise anyone with either style aluminum bracket, with the stainless license plate screws, to take a few minutes and remove those screws and add some anti-seize to the threads. This is the only instance of trouble to my knowledge. I would assume that many people instinctively add anti-seize but it was not mentioned in the instructions. There were hundreds of various style brackets sold mostly in 2018 and 2019. I sent this message by PM to many buyers however I cannot possibly reach everyone. Thanks and my apology for the oversight in the instructions.

It's a piece of cake - remove the T-30 screws along the top edge, place channel bar - re-install screws (5)
very easy, and very useful (I hang my MaxTrax there, with a bracket I got from Etsy).

I’m building a spare tire mount because I wanna look Baja AF in my long bed, having the rail up front will make it much easier to mount stuff under the spare tire mount. I’m gonna be buying one very soon. Last I saw it was $50 on the Amazon

Work in progress, making the inside of camper shell semi livable for short camping trips. Nothing special, cheaply done and easily removed.

I had to remove the header rail to install my BAKflip tonneau (just to add the foam pads that block water entering). It was super easy.
But now I have to look if I can take it off without completely removing the tonneau mounting rails. That's not difficult but can still take a while (as it would be like installing the cover all over again).

    Too many
Take your time and use the right torx bit.
I did not and stripped two of the bolts immediately and then took the rest of the afternoon getting them out.

if you can unscrew a screw and screw it back in you are certified....the same 5 screws that hold on the top of bed piece are used for the rail, its a star head, nuts might be behind there but are welded on or something .. no need to get behind bed .......it is set up for the rail they just dont put one on there on the 3rd gen
