Just picked up a Scar 20s, what’s a decent optic that won’t break the bank that someone can recommend?

Scar’s are notorious for killing optics, get a Vortex or something with a warranty where you can just replace it when it dies.

That was my concern on getting a optic that would eventually break, I was looking at Vortex razor line up or possibly the primary arms PLX line up which is much cheaper but good value

The razors are good scopes, I would say that it’s not a bad choice at all.

Took a file and some sandpaper to the Ruger American Ranch stock. Previously, the side of the stock covered half of the magazine release (the edge continued straight over it). Now, it is fully accessible.

Lived for about 10 yrs in unincorporated Albemarle County, outside Charlottesville. We never had any problems, but the city seemed to have its share of crime. Probs way worse now as I left in 2009.

I lived outside of Charlottesville for almost a year, I have family that live around culpepper and Pantops, it’s not terrible, there are some areas that I would tend to avoid but it’s nowhere close to being as bad as some other city’s that I’ve lived in.

Number 3's with Garret 540's were brutal. Literally hurt to shoot them.

A Nazi marked P-35 brought home as a war trophy. I bought it as a parts gun during one of the first times when Hi Powers got scarce, it had plastic pearl grips, had the shit buffed out of it and chrome plated (like bumper chrome). Sent off to a hi power smith, stripped the chrome, cut for Novak sights, had the ejection port opened up, hump cut out of the feed ramp, new hammer and sear, Cylinder and Slide extractor (being a gun from the late 30's early 40's its an internal extractor similar to a 1911), all springs replaced with Wolff, did a no bite mod on the hammer, added a extension/shelf to the safety, rebuilt the magazine and a few more things I cant remember. Good shooter, was a splurge for a very successful year at work. The smith said year of manufacture was hard to pin down, he thought between 1940 and 1942. Its a good shooter and handles great.

I shoot a Big Boy Silver .357 in competition - great gun. Handles well, smooth action, accurate. And, fun to shoot. Can't say enough good about it.

I suggest you add that one to your collection.
