Good day. I’m looking to find a printed (or printable) procedure to help me swap out the nasty, rusted clear through frame on my 2004 Tacoma.

I have seen at my Toyota Dealer how things are supported .

Doing that at home asking for directions is going to be interesting.

I am the dealer. I’ve done tons of these. Just been a few years. They’re all but dried up now

Thanks for the replies. I have a friend with a shop (and a lift) another who is a Tacoma enthusiast and has done a bunch of rebuild work to help coach me and other guys willing to throw in from time to time as we go along. Wanted to be more in the know myself as to what is coming hence the procedure search. I was able to find one 84 page procedure and am still looking for a few more. The helpful tips (soak everything in WD40) are great. Thank you.

I need to ask Where did the Truck live that you have a rusted frame ? Some areas are much worse then others.

Since every job is always some what different it is impossible to ever have step by step directions.

Just what do you have for the used Frame? Just the a bare naked frame ??

A complete rolling Chassis or a running donor vehicle?? This makes a big difference in what your getting into.

Where it gets interesting and expensive is all the other assorted parts attached to the rusted frame and the parts broken while removing. The assorted Brake lines, the complete fuel system etc etc

    Best of luck!
