I'll play. Ditch lights are another brand, not to be mentioned. I may be updating them soon to BDs. I'm a fan boy, picked up a hoodie and a t-shirt recently. Both were great quality.

here is a view of my 360 lighting setup, all baja with the exception of my rear bumper reverse pods, they are made by DD.

 

Bajadesigns Squadron Pros on RagoFab ditch light mounts, and Squadron Sport fog light replacements.

S1 work/scene flush mounted in the bumper as a reverse light.

 

Hey guys, would someone that has an XL 80 light be willing to measure the eye to eye of the mounting holes on the side of the light for me? Working on a 3d printed XL 80 mount for my dirt bike but I don't quite have the light yet.

 

This is literally my first comment here but I have a 22' TRD Off-road on order (coming from an 18' colorado ZR2 Diesel) and want to keep the stock"ish" front end look like you've got. I reached out to SDHQ and they said their hidden winch mount wasn't compatible with the 30" BD bumper mount. How did you achieve this combo of a hidden winch and bar?

It's a CBI hidden winch mount, and worked fine with the BD mount...I've recently changed to a half plate bumper.

 

My 40in s8 is about 18 months old and is turning purple , I don’t go thru the car wash and don’t clean it with anything other then chemical guys mr pink . Is this normal

 

doesnt sound normal, but sounds like maybe a bad anodize job. shoot them an email on their support line.

Update : my brother in law dropped off my s8 at Baja designs in person on Wednesday, they inspected it and found it had water damage along with the outside fading to purple. Got a email Thursday saying they would be sending a new one to be on the safe side . Got home yesterday and my new light bar was at the house . Major props to Baja designs for the great customer service and communications !

 

Has anyone used an S1 spot for an auxiliary high beam? Would it be effective?

 

BD S1 Amber WC on rago mounts, Squadron Sport WC amber, 30” S8 amber driving combo. Rock lights soon to go on rack with custom mounts, s1 reverse in rear bumper.

 

Any pics of them on at night? And are they wired to a switch or just reverse?

 

I don't have any night pics, but I'll try to get you some. They're quite impressive. I refuse to post up pics of them from the rear though because that proves exactly nothing. I'll get you pics from beside the truck looking back and through the backup camera because they do actually mean something.

As for how they're wired, they're wired directly into my reverse light circuit, so they come on automatically when I shift into reverse.

That looks good @Tacospike, are you planning on relocating the S1s?

 

I have a few options. My brother is currently Tacoma shopping so might gift them to him or or another set of squadrons I have. Depending on what he could use (i think he’ll want the squadrons) I might put my S1’s in the bed (rear facing) for hunting / camping / kayak trips, changing the lens to works scene or wide angle…. Or maybe one of each since i have a work scene in a box. Either way they will be repurposed

or change out some lights on my Tacoma (above is my tundra)
