Yes I did. I ordered it at the end of 2019 and got it about 3 months later. Shipping from Australia is fierce.

I was just in Islamorada last week. A couple other good restaurants are Kaiyo Grill and The Fish House. Smokin Tuna in Key West is another great place.
The best beach in the keys and possibly anywhere is Bahia Honda. Definitely make time to stop there.

Fyi Florida lobster is much different than Maine. Okay maybe not "much" different but....enough. If you've never been/had it, just know that ahead of time.

Literally never had a drive to hit the keys but now I do.

That's slightly a lie. I have wanted to do a Rt 1 road trip from Maine to the end of the world, but thats not a gotta go now sort of thing.

Do it. Driving the Keys is a great ride. Always great views and tons of places to stop.

I've had thoughts of the same drive, it's a cool idea but then the reality of being on rt 1 for 2000+ miles sets in...:anonymous:

Had to spend the entirety of my lunch break yesterday on the phone but the money is back in my account and no one can tell me why it didn't go through, oh well.

That's because we know Rt 1 as through Boston, NYC, Jersey, etc. North of Boston and through Maine, it's great. South of Jersey, it is a much better road too. I mean it's still Rt 1, but it's not the same thing as going through Boston.

When I was in NY heading to CT for work and 95 was backed up (as it usually was), my GPS would always try to get me to take rt 1, I got to the point where is rather just sit in traffic on 95 than try it lmao. It's not any better up here either, but you do have me intrigued now...

You mean south of Balitimore, even then, you do hit some big traffic areas.

I used to ride rt1 a lot when stateside and I was stationed in VaBch.
Pretty much go down the Jersy Tpke over the bridge into New Castle, 13s to Rt1 and carry on. I rather just get through the Metro as far as possible...from 1and 13 merge.... pretty nice. Depending on timing, I'd either stay on 13, or 1... details are fuzzy... last time was 05

Any fishing or just hangin' out? That's where my avatar pic came from. My wife will go blue water with me but not flatwater in the mangroves..then it's just me and my backwater charter guy

I didn’t fish much this trip. Just one afternoon on the flats at Bahia Honda. We did a snorkel trip to the Christ of the Abyss statue which was awesome. The amount of fish on the reef are insane. We have been trying to do it for years but the trip kept getting canceled due to wind or water clarity. We also stopped at Robbie’s to feed these beasts.

I’ve just done it in rental vehicles. Had a Frontier this trip, had a convertible Mustang a few years back which was fun. I don’t think I would want to ride a motorcycle in Florida. There are a lot of terrible elderly drivers plus it would be hot as hell wearing a helmet and protective gear.
