I think I read that in the sixties!

I read a bunch of his books.

I read it in my very early twenties. I tried it again in my seventies. The book was the same, but I changed. It was no longer as captivating. Parts of me miss the wonder, idealism, optimism and anticipation that I had when young.

A friend of mine has the entire Cussler collection I believe. Good books.

I'm a particle physics nerd. This was a great take on quantum entanglement and wave collapse theory

I just grabbed a few Clive Cussler of the Book case.

Because of my lack of mobility it is common I read 8 or more hours a day.

I started on the Vorkosigan Saga by Bujold at the recommendation of someone in here or the Space & Science thread. Can't remember who, but I thank ya!

Hard for me to answer that, as I've done a lot of reading in that field of science. That said, I think it's very approachable and his writing style is very readable. He's a science magazine writer, not an academic and does a great job on the personalities and how their personal relationships with each other drove the science.

I guess that answers my question. I was asking how readable it is.

We all have different ideas on what we think is readable.

Different books may have no appeal at all the first time I pick them up. They get set aside years later I can not put the book down or it still sucks.

I had so many nights getting in to a great read it was now time to go to work I don`t miss that happening at all.

I may have to pick this up, though I am only a Padawan in quantum physics. The observer effect blows my mind and makes me question what reality is. This hangs in my office.

Slit experiment is a thing that makes perfect sense one time and is completely incomprehensible the next time you think about it

I recently read Yeonmi Park's book In Order to Live, which was incredible. I read it in 3 days maybe. Couldn't put it down.

I'm currently in Chronicles From The Future, which is about a man that awoke from a year long coma in the 1920's and claimed to have inhabited another man's body in the year 3906. The book is his recollection and reflection on the experience.

I'm also revisiting Marcus Aurelius' Meditations. I have read much of it before, but didn't absorb a lot. It is a tough read. Just doing one page, very slowly, per day now.

Last time I hung out with my dad he tried to discuss an article on a recent experiment in quantum entanglement. I told him no thanks. I don't need an existential crisis right now.

I think quantum physics is the truest example of "the more we know, the less we understand."

Absolutely. And it's definitely interesting but I already have enough keeping me up at night. Don't need to add to it.
