Run it through NADA for your area. If you really want it, make an offer from what NADA gives you.

I dunno man. Only 19 years old and 161k.

And the ad specifies it has the 'adjustable steering' which is a unicorn feature!

Thanks everyone, this would be my first 1st Gen Tacoma purchase. I thought it seemed steep but maybe they know something I don't know.

    They know P.T. Barnum

It may sell for less, but it may sell for asking. You can always lower your asking, but raising it, not so much.

They also have it jacked so they can 'give' someone a pile 'o bucks for their pile as a trade in.

Thats too high. Its a VA truck which means it has had inspections every year. That fact that they bought it from the dealer means its really expensive for you. I'd wait & tell them it's too much money. I bet they drop the price after you say no. They have had it since May & it hasn't sold because they paid too much themselves

It’s also lived most it’s life in the northern tip of VA. Probably has a good amount of rust on the frame also.

Wait if you can, there’s just too much pent up demand with too much money but I bet a correction is coming. In addition, why pay for so much dealer profit? They have high overhead that offers you zero value and are only interested in extracting as much of your cash as they possibly can. They are almost certainly asking for 3x what they paid for it. Just be patient and wait and you’re guaranteed to get a better deal in time.

I would offer em $14K for it.....and have them keep your number.....

Be super nice to them and explain how your just getting started...

Things change quick this time of year.....they may call you back couple weeks and say come and get it......we need it off our books.....

years and years ago thats how we got a high mileage caravan for 2K......
....to use for a scuba van......
