The Niners need to play in Mexico City every week.

 

My Chiefs are the new #1 in today’s NFL power rankings, first time this year! Mahomes is the early buzz for MVP, but he was ahead of Rogers at this point last year, lots of ball still ahead of us. Still worried about Buffalo. And if we survive the AFC playoffs I’d prefer not to play the 49ers. They are hot and cold, but scary when hot.

 

Mahomes is 24-3 against division opponents, 14-0 on the road. 25 straight November/December wins. I hope these glory years produce more than 1 ring.

 

Average QB’s look much better with good blocking but this is the best I’ve seen him moving since the knee injury and that has improved his accuracy on the run. AZ was riddled with injuries before the game started and were dropping like flies throughout it. Jimmy is neither as bad as some think nor as good as his career as record but his positive attitude is infectious and does count in a team sport. The playoffs in both conferences are shaping up nicely.

 

The Niners have a lot of weapons on that team. When they are banging on all cylinders, they look pretty good. Now, if they can just get past their eternal burr in the rear Seattle.....

 

AFC is scary. I dont know who I would want the 9ers to face Bills or Chiefs. KC is definitely top team right now. 9ers just need to be consistent. Hope they stay hot.

 

We definitely ended up with a soft schedule for having gone to the championship round with 2 rounds in the nfc west, one in the nfc south, and one in the afc west. Those are probably the 3 weakest divisions in the nfl. It’s more entertaining than losing and they're now winning when they’re supposed to but things will be different in the playoffs. Apparently when his return was in doubt during rehab and until he resigned Jimmy was not allowed to see or study the new playbook. Totally understandable but with such a scheme heavy offense it takes time to internalize everything.

 

Niners just need to stay healthy and we'll get to the SB

 

Not off the table, but counting on JG to remain upright is a major risk...

 

I had a bad feeling about him in NE when he got hurt after 2 starts. Perhaps maybe sitting on the sidelines hurt him more than helped.

 

It’s not as if everyone else is always healthy. I can’t think of a single starter on either side of the ball that hasn’t missed games in the last two years, many with season ending injuries. There may be a few but they’re certainly the exception not the rule.
If you want your QB to stay on the field spend money on the o-line.
If you want to get to the opposing QB spend money on coverage and pass rush as well as run stopping(basically everybody).
If you want weapons spend it on them.
Can’t have all of that(which we do) and have enough left to sign an elite QB.
Lynch has done a remarkable job filling out the roster and keeping it stocked despite injuries. A high draft QB is often a risk either from injury or not fulfilling expectations and so far it’s been both so having a player and leader as good as Himmie Guap (flaws included) is better than expected even if not as great as we hoped. Yes there are better ones but few if any teams can pay both them and as many other great players as the niners.

While true, some guys just seem to be injury prone. Most definitely you need a line to protect the backs.

 

Who would you say is more injury prone then, Lance or Jimmy?

 

Given those choices, Jimmy..since he's gotten injured much more often and missed time.

I don't watch college ball so perhaps there's something there too that I'm not aware of.

So where’s Lance now? Where was he last year? When he gets his shot he plays a game or two and gets hurt. What do you call that?

 

This year he got injured early. I don't recall last year off my skull.
