No can is bear proof. The problem being that there's a huge overlap between the dumbest people and the smartest bears. A bear proof can will be people proof to many.

A group of 5 of us spent Sunday cleaning up trails that had a lot of that. Toyota/Lexus owners would never leave a trail like that.

 

Woolum crossing Sunday 11/20 at almost sunset. We had cut up a bunch of trees on the way up to the Buffalo.

Maybe that's geographical...plenty of dummies own Toyota/Lexus over here. Beach polluters come in all makes and models.

Spent 3 days looking for this shock mount. Tore whole shop apart. Looked under everything, through all my scrap. Today I decided to look on frame and shit. Low and behold. Some idiot used it as a weight.

 

That grille though...

 

it was definitely a not oft used trail. If I had a chainsaw I could have cleared a few trees out of the way. One of them has fallen lengthwise down the trail, and so there was a bypass, which was almost too twisty for my single cab.


On the upside, nobody else out there. The solitude was amazing.

Do you have any coordinates for the trail? Our Toyota Club looks for lesser-known trails to adopt and rehabilitate. There are a bunch of Jeep clubs here that are a bit much. They usually don't properly cut up a downed tree but will pull it out of the road -- partially.

Our group of 5 came up on a bunch of Jeeps with eyelashes on the headlights sporting the "My Little Pony" theme. They had no idea about trail etiquette.
