Fixed my airhorns. Again. Damn wires keep corroding. Need to figure out a way to keep corrosion out of the connections.

If it's at the connectors, di-electric grease - if it's the wiring, better wiring.

Before you make any decisions make sure to let the suspension settle. Took mine a few trips for it to settle down and it still does after many miles.

Your fender cut looks similar to mine so I wouldn’t say you cut too much.

The copper in the wire is what's corroding. If I snip to old connector of, sometimes the copper has corroded itself as much as two inches down in the insulation.

Is it possibly copper plated aluminum? Time to replace with some good quality solid copper standard or silicone wiring. BNTechGo makes some pretty solid stranded copper silicone wiring.

Cut all of the corroded wire off, run new wire with new connectors, then use heat shrink to cover the connections. Problem solved.

Actually, I've tried that and the moisture still manages to seep in.

I have seen that, but I don't like the way it looks. Just seems unfinished or hacked. Plus I need a spot for my aux beam control panel as well.

That is my most hated job on the whole truck (so far lol)...

If they'd close those clips in, it seems like it would be better....like on the hinge side. Make the "U" shaped slots, "O" shaped slots after the clips are in. If I could reach the things better without taking the whole headlight out, I'd try it and see if it worked. But, of course, if I could reach them better without taking the whole housing out.......we wouldn't be having this discussion :) .

Thanks for the advice. I guess I was imagining something completely different. Plus I am waiting on a front bumper so the weight of that would bring the chassis a little lower.

Little bit of this and that
Trick I use for the passenger side is to remove the bolts holding the washer reservoir to the fender. You then can move it out of the way and have just enough room to make getting that bulb in/out doable.

Talk about it... I think it's time for some new winter wheels! This was the second time they balanced the wheels.
These are stock 16" TRD OR wheels

Just get a Dynamic Balance instead of Static balance. Less issues with weights falling off etc

Get marine grade heat shrink. It has waterproof adhesive in it. If that fails then there is something else wrong

    Nothing. :(
Once the cold weather set in I put a hold on mods. I do need to pick up some oil and do an oil change though.
