@KingOfTheNorth Yeah I wouldn't mind that at all! Thanks for doing that. Not sure what type of tree we are after yet, but I do like the blue spruce.

We usually go off the 300 but I wouldn’t mind going to Greer, rent a cabin or something for the weekend.

I would be interested in the spruce hookup as well. My gf already took a picture of the tree she wants, but if we cant find that one, maybe we'll check it out. We have no location info or anything, she was just like "stop the truck, I like that tree" lol

At the top of the rim go right not left on the 300. will be less people back there. But just all around that area gets picked thru allot as thats where everyone from the valley goes. Same reason why camping there sucks now. Just so blown up. I use to really love camping back there but not no mo.
Cool I will pm you. Thats usually how my wife works aswell and tells me to just stop the truck. Now we actually go hiking a bit back into the woods to find something worth it and not just off the road for the most part.

I’m ready to find a new spot. The rim area is too crowded for me too

Well let me know what area you are headed to and I can drop you some pins. Basically anywhere from the rim east to new mexico I have spots. I go out and just explore every where just driving. I am happy to share the hidden places I have found or know about.

Spoke with Zuk today. It’s was a pleasant change to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about. Discussed everything and the plan is basically Revolution 5.29 gears, REM, Cryo Eaton front E-Locker and continue to use Amsoil. I’m going to take an oil sample at 500 miles and send off to Blackstone. We want to see what the condition of the oil is at that time and to confirm it doesn’t need to be changed. We both know it won’t need to be with REM and Amsoil but he wanted to get some hard numbers anyways since he said no one has actually done this. Maybe @MR E30 might want to send off a sample too since his gears will be done soon. Going to start collecting parts after the holidays but going to just do it right the first time.

    I like it.

I spoke with him about the oil. We discussed checking it after 500 miles, but not with Blackstone. I'll check the condition of the oil at 500 miles and if it is anything other than perfectly clean I'll send off a sample.

He said the quality of the oil is less of a concern with the REM and Cryo, as there is basically nothing to wear, as the gear faces mesh so ideally.

As an aside, Revolution Gears had no 5.29's in stock while I was searching. I waited on them for 1 month to no avail, before going with ECGS (~$650 more expensive FYI.). So if Revo has a set, snag them ASAP as they may not stick around.

Cryo and REM was $380 from Cryo One and took 2 weeks to do, fyi.
