Brake cleaner and lots of it. Then a scrubbing of dawn and water. Don’t be stingy. What doesn’t come up will be gone by the end of winter. My driveway is new asphalt (2019). And that stuff is just a distant memory. Now I’m battling a natural syrup spill. But at least it’s natural in nature but it’s there for awhile lol.

Any of you guys proficient in RC cars? I pulled the front axles out of an Axial Yeti Jr to clean the front diff/hubs, reassembled, and now it won't turn. I've disassembled/reassembled it at least 20 times already. Totally stumped.

I bought some Safety Absorbent from Advanced Auto. It's basically cat litter. Even has cat litter disposal instructions on it.

I'll try these next. I've gotten small spots of engine oil in the driveway before and they're usually gone in no time. I have plenty of dawn and simple green on hand. I'll try brake cleaner if the dawn doesn't work.

I'm not too worried about the oil stain, just don't want the mess to spread. My driveway isn't in the best shape. I have a hole I can sweep the kitty litter into

Try Boch in N. Attleboro. I have better luck with parts being in stock there.

Shit you not, I brought some of my old Xmods back from my parents' house last time I was there and am planning to grab the rest when I'm there tomorrow for the holiday. Those things were pretty incredible for the time.

Wow...that cleaned up nicely. I'm guessing because it's concrete and not petroleum based like asphalt

What won't turn, the outer wheel hub? Are you missing the axle pin under the hub? I have done that before!

Axle pins are there, everything is in place exactly as it should be (I've studied the schematic so much I can basically draw it from memory).

AX101603 (attached to the servo) turns AX31512, but only when the tie rods (AX131604 on the bottom image-- Axial calls them axle links, but they're tie rods...) are not attached. Once I attach the tie rods, it won't move anything. Almost like there's too much force against them, even though everything is properly attached/assembled.

Ah, okay, I misunderstood. So something is binding in the steering mechanism. If the servo is not connected to the servo saver (part#AX31009), does the steering move freely?

Yeah, I haven't run it disconnected from AX31009 but I have run it with AX131604 disconnected from AX31499 (and subsequently AX31512)

Okay, sounds like something is binding on the chassis side. The servo saver might be too tight, or possibly one of these parts (#AX31512) is screwed down too tightly.
