    Yep, same as bleeding brakes.

Just know that the clutch pedal will pop to the floor and not return, don't be alarmed. Close the bleeder and pull the pedal back up.

Make sure to clamp the resivour hose before you crack open the system. Doing so will help prevent fluid loss and will make bleeding easier

THX for this - I have bled brakes so I know how it goes in general.
I was hoping someone had posted step/by/step with pics on here since you can find almost every other procedure like that on TW.

My part should come this week but it is gonna be a few weeks till I can get this done.

If you ever wondered why additive manufacturing (3d printing) is gaining popularity just look here. I started with that tall cylinder and threw away material until I ended up with that stack of disks. Over half the materia was waste

A few have offered feedback on the B.S. thread, if anyone is willing to offer their feedback on the disk in this thread I would appreciate it.

Just ordered on eBay (handle $$$weet$$$eller), not yet shipped, delivered, or installed. Pre-install feedback is that this is the perfect solution. Invisible, does not require dremeling, and does not require laying up the truck or searching for a core accumulator. Price is right from a cost perspective as the cost outweighs the time and effort and risk. Also I won't be putting this in myself. I have good relationships with mechanics and my projects but I can't test their patience with a dead truck due to faulty parts or waiting for parts. This should be a simple R&I + bleed. I am good with that.

I hope you are coming out ok on this given your time and expense of material. Also putting it in a box and shipping is not free. Perhaps the waste material can be recycled?

I didn't know about the ADM until TW. I do notice that it feels like my clutch is not disengaging fully when it should. I occasionally grind gears because I think the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Sometimes it engages too fast and I loose the finesse. No problem like this with my 1987 Mustang or 1999 Civic. If this fixes it I will be pleased. Been driving manual since 1988 so I know it is the truck and not me.

    Thank you!

I hope, no I know, you will enjoy it.

It should be there as soon as USPS gets it there.

As far as coming out ok, yes. I have sold quite a few, and although it doesn't equal on of my paychecks it has paid for the lathe, the materials, my time, and let me buy some items for my tacoma. Its not making me rich, but it has made my hobbies bring a few bucks in instead of sending a few bucks out which is nice.

Ebay listing revised. Unfortunately I sold "all" of them which ended the listing. It has been relisted but the URL will be a bit different.

Thanks everyone who has purchased, it is greatly appreciated!

Been eyeballing this for a while now, and finally pulled the trigger. As much as I love the Tacoma in the manual, the clutch is the one weak point, and after giving it 40,000 miles, I think its finally time to do it! Just ordered it off ebay!

A little insight into the process.

Originally started with shipping out in the black package but after USPS lost a few I figured a brighter package may be helpful for navigating the pitfalls of the USPS shipping infrastructure. I have now just started putting insurance on every one I send out

The little rainbow bags were something my wife just happened to have so, well, now everyone gets rainbow bags! LOL. The disks go into the bags immediately so that they don't discolor from oxidation. No detrimental effects if they do, they just look nicer "fresh". In the second picture you can see one of the disks that was bad so I carry it in my pocket, next to it is a disk that is less than 10 minutes old.

I've been using this for a few weeks now, it works perfect, shifting is amazing, looks perfectly OEM, can't even tell you did anything without taking it apart. If you want a oem look for warranty purposes, get this thing!

Nice work...wish I had a lathe. Is it possible to buy direct instead of going through ebay? Ebay has jacked up their fees so much over the years, any chance I have I prefer to cut them out of the transaction.

Sadly I haven’t. I’ve been trying to track it down. Since my mailbox got SMOKED the day after I ordered it, and I haven’t had the chance to replace it due to the ground being frozen completely solid.

New home for the lathe. A stone top is in the plans but not yet purchased. Some solid feet will be turned too. (Just to appease you machinists)

The drawers will be nice for tools, my current setup lacks convenient storage.

Not bad for a Lowe's black Friday special. It's crazy how expensive tool chests are! This was one of the cheapest I have seen anywhere.

Installed my disk the other day and the clutch definitely feels better now. The hardest part was getting the accumulator off just due to the limited space. I also gave up on putting the upper bolt back in the heat shield. If anyone has a good way to get it up in there let me know.

    Too many to count
I had to use a universal joint and 4in extension. A smaller socket helps too.

I'm trying to remember how I did mine

I think I put the bolt in the shield and held it in with a socket, then put the whole thing in the truck like that, getting that bolt started first with the socket that was holding it on. Or I loosened all the other bolts and used the lose shield to hold the bolt so I could get it started. From there it was just the right length socket and extension (deep well and short extension irrc, short socket and long extension wasn't the exact length needed)
