I know this is a long shot and understand Toyota no longer makes them and they’re discontinued.. BUT does anyone know where I could locate a new frame that hasn’t been used for an 01-04 Tacoma double cab 4x4? Part number

I think @Empty_Lord bought the last one of "new old-stock" out of a Toyota warehouse a month or so ago

Is yours destroyed enough you can't repair it with plates? There's alot of threads on here of guys detailing how they revived old rusted out frames... that may be your best option

I was in very slow Tbone wreck.. somebody pulled right out in front of me trying to flip a U. The crash bar got bent and it very slightly bent the frame where the bumper connects to. State Farm has tried to total loss it 2x now but after much back and forth, they agreed they will not if I can get a new frame.. I’m considering getting a lawyer because it’s plan ridiculous.

The frame is ok. The wreck was like 5-8 mph tops. They did all the measurements and everything is within OEM specifications. State Farm is saying because they have heat the bent portion and bring it back true and re weld where the bumper connects to the frame that it’s totaled.

Going to be hard to find a new frame.

Wait… the bend at the bumper mount? Shit you don’t even need heat to fix that!

give me 10 minutes with a hammer and some c clamps and it’ll be straight again. And most likely no welding needed! Those fucking things came bent on new frames when we were replacing them years ago.

Let them total it for a current market price. Buy it back as salvage price, fix and drive.

2 risks with that. Some insurance won't write salvage, and salvage titled vehicles bring about 1/2 of non salvage prices

Likely a better deal than a lawyer though

I would ignore your insurance and find a fabricator that can get the bumper mounted up straight (if it doesn't already). Is the main frame rail actually bent or just the crossmember mount the front skid/crashbar attaches to? Long way of saying this looks very minor to me and not worthy of totaling anything. If you remove the crashbar, you'll see section that's (maybe) bent can be removed and replaced as well.

For reference, mine was bent to shit when I bought a used 04 from someone attempting to yank on it. Some heat and a floor jack and I got it close enough to mount up my skid again.
