Maybe you could wire up a led to the output to show whether you’re getting signal out of it.

Went to redo my driver side valve cover gasket today and broke a half moon :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:
Thankfully the tacoma is no longer my daily. I think the cams look pretty good for 10k mi oil change intervals and 225k on the motor

Trying to figure out this intermittent speedo issue.

Pulled the center console and shifters. Checked my VSS spliced extension for the tcase speed sensor. I think they're solid. I used these solder/heat shrink connectors instead of crimping butt connectors. Still, might just re-do the entire extension.

    2.jpg

Leaning toward it being the plastic mechanical to electronic VSS adapter from LowRange/Trail Gear. Just has an overall cheap feel to it. That little paper gasket pops out easily as does the pin.

    3.jpg

Marlin Crawler sells something similar but I have read many positive reviews on it. Might give theirs a try.

Going to pull the dash and cluster next. I had swapped out the temp gauge so that's next on my list. Maybe I didn't seat Connector A fully.

    The little things... right?

I pulled the trigger on the Marlin version. Hopefully here by Monday or the weekend. They're in the same state so shipping is typically 1 day.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    FYI

I've already had to replace my mech to elect speedo adapter from TG once and this one is speaking like it's going to go out on me again.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
those solder heat shrink things were the cause of my 95 tacos left side speaker cutting in and out...

Just under 600. I did most of the prep work. I am happy with the results.

Here's the difference between the pads I made vs the pads that came with the body lift (for the bed)

    20221124_120316.jpg

There's better contact now, with the pads I made, than there was before the body lift.

The features on the HU are great. Sound wise it isn’t that good. I had to install the amp to get any kind of bass. It sounded like an iPhone playing music. Very plain.
