@Speedytech7 you know how many of these trucks were built in long beach? I just noticed mine says TABC. 07/95

TABC still makes cabs and beds for the Tacoma to this day, my father’s company was a contractor for them. I couldn’t find a straight answer as to why some first gens are marked NUMMI, and some are marked TABC. As far as I know all of the final assembly was done at NUMMI.

I just spent too much time reading the master plan for the Colorado Springs airport.

The amount of attention and lack of BS that goes into "this is what's there, this is what it ought to be, these are some ways (and their pros and cons) to get there" is oddly inspiring. They even break it down by different projected future-states... "if nothing changes, you'll need X, if you reach this threshold, you'll need Y, if you reach the next threshold you'll need Z".

It started with my curiosity about an unused terminal in the airport. I found out it was built in the mid '90s by Western Pacific Airlines. WestPac only existed for 2 1/2 years before going bankrupt, so the terminal was hardly (if at all) used and its pre-TSA design makes it unusable today.

Fun tidbit... WestPac used to sell cheap mystery flights. Book a weekend for $99 and find out where you're actually going at check-in. Sounds like it might have been a gimmick to fill empty seats on the planes.

It would also appear my trucks got stupid high idle now. I guess I need to pull the throttle and check it.. it’s not the stop. My guess is worn out bore after 482k

I just looked at all the door jam stickers from all my partouts. All the Tacomas say TABC and the 4runners say Toyota motor vehicle corporation

Interesting. My 1998 days nummi. As well as the other 4. (Fathers included) the 95 is the only TABC

Found it interesting too.. the aftermarket radio in the 95 dims with the headlights on. I’ve never had an aftermarket radio do that without popping the fuse
