    Hi everybody, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have had my 2016 SR5 Tacoma for almost a year. I would go to the dealership for scheduled maintenance, but I got tired of the cost. This was my first time changing the oil on my 2016 SR5. I went with the full synthetic Mobile 1 Advanced Fuel Economy.

The little exclamation point in a triangle pops up when the vehicle needs service. In this case, it was for an oil change. Now, I have reset the oil life by performing the; turn the key to accessory, make sure its on ODO, turn car off, press and hold ODO reset pin in the dash, turn key to Accessory, watch the dots count down.

Is there a way to program an oil change reminder/alert into the vehicle? I've seen a couple YouTube videos for higher trim models, but cannot find a way (if there is one) for the SR5.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Thank you! I think this is for a higher trim model though, right? I have an SR5 and the head unit is less modern than the one shown in the video. I also checked on my SR5 and did not find a "maintenance" page in the Apps menu.

Check under Settings. Should be the option Maintenence Reset. My 2017 sr5 has it
