2011 Lexus ES350 steering wheel and airbag, fits 2nd gen tacos $200

I'm running a 2006 lexus wheel in my taco in a different color but same button layout as this one. The 4 pin, 10 pin, and airbag ground plugs go right into my clockspring (2012 sr5 4x4 for reference) and the controls all work with no lights on the dash. I think its a pretty decent wheel upgrade if you like the woodgrain look.

DO you by chance know if I would have to run a wiring harness for this to work on a 2006 tacoma base model? It currently has no wheel controls but I'm not sure if the wiring harness for it is still there. If not I would probably have to get a new clockspring too

 

That is a good question. I'm running an aftermarket Sony head unit which did require a steering wheel control interface. As far as clocksprings go I'm running one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/314071600769, works great, much cheaper than oem. The dealership quoted me $200 for one. Insanity.

Your best bet is to pop your wheel off and check the connections, if it has the 4+10 you should be fine. The older 12 pin would require a custom harness.

Excellent information, I wonder if there is a reference as to exactly how many Lexus/ Toyotas cross? My college son just bought an 2002 ES300 with a wheel that is showing its age. I would love to know what all could be considered as a no-compromise swap out.
