    Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,

A few months ago, I got my 2010 Tacoma serviced, which included a throttle body service and new plugs. Ever since I got it back, I've had this intermittent rumbling coming from the passenger front of the truck when I first start it and when I put it in gear. More noticeable in reverse. But it can be heard in drive also. I thought it could be the wheel well or a loose front bumper. It's a low sounding rumble.

It wasn't until today where I got the right person with me at the right time to narrow it down. My speculation is that it's coming from inside the air intake tube. I'm no mechanic, so I was wondering if there is anything inside there. As I wiggle the tube, it sounds like something inside is tapping the inside of the top of the tube.

While the truck was making the sound, it stopped when the filter area was held. It's seated and clamped in properly, so that's not it. Anyone ever have this issue and if so, do you have a fix? Hopefully, an easy fix?

    Thanks!IMG_E3553.jpg

Maybe they left a rag in there. Did they put a new air filter in? Did you take it apart and look?

I put a new air filter in a few weeks later. Thought that was it initially, but it wasn't. No. Like I said, I'm no mechanic. So, I wasn't going nosing around until I knew if there was something to look for.

I actually have the weather stripping, so that's good. I saw something similar when I tried Googling the problem. I will give this a shot in the morning. I did notice that it was a little loose when I was wiggling stuff. Weird how it started to happen immediately after I got it serviced. Mechanic must have jarred something loose that was set in place for 12+ years. Thanks!

if you think its happening due to air flow and not engine vibration, i would just disconnect that hose, since the filter is still on the other side of it, to rule that out.
