    Just recently got back from spending a week on Kodiak Island chasing blacktails. Most of it was spent sitting in low 30’s with rain and snow and 25-40mph winds which slowed the activity down quite a bit. But the one sunny day I found a nice buck that was bedded down on a hillside with a couple does just enjoying the sunrise and warmer weather. I could only see his head and antlers and for the next two and a half hours he proceeded to not move a muscle. The brush is deceivingly thick and I couldn’t tell how he was laying, so I finally had my hunting partner stand up and walk towards the hillside he was bedded on to get him up. We finally got him to stand up and shortly after he was laying down for good :D

    For only being 250 yards it took a couple hours to get him down, but it was well worth it.
