So one of my spark plugs stripped out I had to remove the cylinder head to avoid getting metal shavings inside the cylinder got the helicoil in and got it torqued to spec everything seemed fine. I reassembled the motor following alldata procedures to a t. Got everything put back together and the truck started 3 or 4 times would idle really rough and shut itself off after those 4 times now I have no ignition I have no idea what I did wrong and really need my daily back.

Is there a check engine light on?
If so, the codes may help point you in the right direction.

My first suspicion is timing, or a sensor is unplugged.

Definitely like a sensor for this; easy enough to miss getting one fully seated, but a bit odd that it started a few times and now won't start at all. What do you mean by, 'no ignition'?

I'm fairly certain timing is good I lined up the dots on the cams and got the timing gear set correctly. And put the cam guides in with proper torque procedure. I've triple checked all the plugs and wires there isn't any that aren't connected. The truck does have a check engine light but I do not have a code reader. Which shall probably be my next step.

The truck turned over and ran rough I assumed because it had to relearn the air map. Now the truck is turning over but I have no spark. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake and the truck just kept turning over.

I’d pull the codes. That would help a lot.

Mine idled like normal on the first start, shouldn’t be rough at all.

How is the maf? Intake tract complete between maf and throttle body?

Maf is plugged in don't know if it's actualy working or not because I haven't tested it but the intake tubing is assembled, clean, and clamped together as it should be

So I read the codes and all 4 of my coil packs aren't getting signal. I've checked all the fuses inside the engine bay and the cab and they're all showing resistance. How exactly do I test the coils themselves before I buy 4 new ones

If they're not getting signal, they're not going to fire. Look upstream of the coils - the computer isn't firing them because it isn't happy about something, cam sensor perhaps?

4 coils don't fail, something is wrong with what you've done. You need to check the cam and crank sensors to see if they are installed and connected, and remove them to see if tone rings are in place.

A piece of plastic on the cam clip broke off but the plug still went in Im assuming that's what it is

Replaced camshaft position sensor truck started idled terrible for about 6 seconds then shut off and won't start
Pulled the codes again and all I'm getting is p0115 which is coolant which makes sense because I haven't put coolant in the truck yet but would that cause the truck to not start

You have a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engine? Why did you remove the head to helicoil? I have the 3.4 and recently found out I had a helicoil already in my #3 cylinder. I bought the Sav-a-thread kit that helicoil makes. Took old one out and put new one in. Works fine and didn't have to remove the head. If I would remove the head I would of just replaced the whole head. The 3.4 only has 3 coil packs. Sounds like you will have to take it back apart and follow all of your steps.

I also fixed a stripped spark plug thread without removing head. Oil on the tap will hold the shavings. But that doesn't help you now. But on the positive side, once you figure this out you should be pretty proficient at swapping heads from now on.

From the mention of "all four coil packs", I would deduce that he has a four-banger.
